Review: As a person who is responsible for corporate planning for my company, I found this book extremely helpful in putting ideas and thoughts into structure, and thus able to approach strategic planning and management in a more systematic manner. Planning framework designed by using this Systems Thinking approach can be easily communicated to parties involved in the planning process, and be understood, accepted.
For independent consultants whom are looking for an approach to carry out their practises in this areas, this book is helpful too.
However, if you are looking for concise strategic planning implementation process, this book is somehow lacking. For that, I would like to recommend you to "Team-based strategic planning: A complete guide to structuring, facilitating, and implementing the process" by C. Davis Fogg.
