Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: It's time for a revision Review: A lot of the techniques discussed in this book rely on using e-mail marketing. With the spam problem getting worse, many of the ideas won't work or will require too much effort to get your marketing messages delivered. The book does provide solid explanations on other ways to make money online, but there're newer strategies being used. I can't recommend another book at this time. Your best bet is to do searches on the Internet for money making ideas. This would have been a 5 star book when it first came out. If Allen were to write a revised edition I would get it.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Steer Clear From This Junk Review: After reading this book, you'll find yourself more confused with the internet than any other book on the subject, these instructions have no practical use in the real world and although may give some ideas, it's just that, an idea that require further investigation by additional reading from other more credible sources.
By this time, we should have learned our lessons from his other book "Multiple Streams of Income" and individuals SCAMSTER like Robert Allen. In a NutShell, Invest the price of this book on a nice dinner for your significant other, He/she will love that investment.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: http://www.temp2k.com proven success Review: I absolutely love this book. I am a Website/Graphic Designer. I always wanted to find a way to make money online and not have to spend hours doing so. I have found that way.
This book has basically spoon fed me ideas and marketing techniques that works and are easy to follow. I have not found any other book online that tells me exactly where to go online and what to do to start making money online quickly. If you did not make money after reading this book, (no offense) something is really wrong with you.
I advise anyone who wants to start their own online/ or on land business to get this book. You will get step by step techniques on how to get your business up on running on the web and making your business profitable. Use and customize these techniques if you have to, and use your brain/common sense (not much is required). You can't go wrong.
I know I really sound like a sales associate for his book; but really with all the "Get rich books" out there, I did not think one would actually work. Try it for yourself.

Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: Hack Job Review: It must have taken Robert Allen about 2 hours to write this book, but I tell you how to make money even faster:
1) Find a hot topic which you know nothing about
2) Write a book that rehashes a bunch of tired marketing concepts in this new context
3) Put tons of advertisements in your book
4) Get rich as out-of-work people buy your book
Those looking for serious suggestions about how to make money on the internet can look elsewhere. Here's the gist what he offers: develop a useful product that everyone wants and sell it on the internet. Gee, thanks.
A better way to make money on the internet would be to write a book about it, like Robert Allen did. And, hey, you'd probably know more about the subject matter than he does.
Oh, and the cartoons in the book aren't funny.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Marketing information of value Review: Multiple Streams of Internet Income has some value as a starting point for people that would like to find the Internet as a way to do business and earn a living. But there is not much new in the book that can't be easily found online.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: It could change the way you think about money. Review: The first two chapters should be read by every person age 16 or older. It focuses on your thought process concerning money. The book consists of ideas for increasing your income and adding new sources of income. The wealth creating strategies involve stocks, real estate, tax liens, network marketing, intellectual property, the internet, taxes, estate planning, and others. The ideas lack depth and would require more research. Most of the chapter topics could each be expanded to become books. One idea taken from this book and applied could change your financial life.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Jay Abraham's Marketing Methods Applied to the Internet Review: The fundamental example in this book is flawed. Mr. Allen set up an experiment to show that he could make $24,000 in 24 hours on the Internet. He actually did much better than that. Presumably, the purpose was to show you that anyone could. What he did was make a lot of special offers on products and services that he sells all the time to an e-mail list of 11,000 names he had been developing over the prior 9 months. In fact, he used four messages to the list to define the offer and to alert everyone it was coming. Now, if you were one of the most famous authors and investors in America and you gave special deals, couldn't you sell over $24,000 worth in a day? But presumably you aren't, so this book will be very valuable to all the other celebrity authors as an example, but not so much for you. The book does have a few examples of ordinary individuals succeeding on the Internet, but these examples don't exactly scream out at me about how I can do the same. The principles in the book are a distillation of almost every marketing guru who has published a book. In fact, there is so much Jay Abraham in the book that I wondered if Mr. Abraham might have ghost-written it (or at least commented extensively on it). Mr. Allen promises too much in the beginning. If you follow "the strategies and techniques in this book, you will be well on your way to Internet riches . . . ." Not only will you be rich, you won't have to work very hard for "the by-product of your start-up Internet business is freedom." If one percent of the people who follow this advice get to either result, I would be surprised. I suggest that Mr. Allen take 100 people, teach them his principles, and report back on the results a year later. Then, if they succeed as he promises, I will write a new review that gives this book five stars. The strength of this book is in encouraging you to select your target audience and understand their wants before you think about what type of business you want to have and the services or products you want to provide. The advice about how to build traffic to your site, get income once they are there, and to build repeat business is all quite good at a general level. The other interesting part of the book is Mr. Allen's description of how he changed his unique selling proposition over the years from "nothing down" to "hands-on-training" to "real-time millionaire mentors." There's no bad advice in the book, as far as I could tell. It just overstates the ease of making money on an Internet start-up with limited investment capital. Where else have people indicated that things are easy that you have found difficult? How about losing weight? How about getting into shape using the latest piece of equipment? What's the best way to evaluate these claims, without pursuing them yourself? May the Internet bring you all the success you would like to have.
Rating: ![1 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-1-0.gif) Summary: What a RIPOFF Review: This book is a self-serving article in which the author uses his own established email customers/subscribers to make lots of money. He baits them for months prior to the 24 hour test and he does make lots of money, but it is a scam. Stay clear of this book. Do not waste your money.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: The Best Allen Book Review: This book is a very good 101 guide to internet marketing. If you don't know about affiliate programs, marketing, on-line auctions then this book will be invaluable. Apply the tactics in this book and you will make money, even from a hobby site. It helped me make my site (http://mysite.verizon.net/vze48sdz/) and collecting hobby pay for itself. The first chapter ($24k in 24 hrs)is hype, but it makes a good point - work your customer base. Makes a great off the shelf strategy. It is surprising how many sites could benefit from applying the techniques (hobby, commercial and not for profit. There is no reason a not for profit can use affiliate schemes for extra revenue).
If you have a hobby site, and want to make it pay, or own a bricks and mortar business and are developing a web site, this book will add value. Allen's book explains how to market on the net simply and effectively.
If you have a web site, are good at marketing and you get nothing from the book you are doing well. This is worth a read, just as a check list. You need to apply yourself to make the techniques work, they depend on good content and you will have to have (or develop) reasonable IT skills (or access to someone who does) to exploit this book to the full.
Allen's books on real estate involve a fair degree of risk. This book doesn't (it does involve hard work and effort). I am not a big fan of his other texts, but this one is excellent (he uses people with greater expertise to write key chapters).
If your cynical about this review, or the book (reasonable), check it out before buying. Also, make sure you are looking at the second edition.
