Review: If you have some training in basic statistics (theory) and want to hit the ground running with example-after-example of real world applications for statistical methods in manufacturing, this is the book for you. I found it to be a great idea generator. In my work I need to find more and more applications for statstical process improvement, productivity and efficiency gains, and product quality improvement. This book not only provides an excellent set of examples using a wide variety of statistical tools - e.g. from Gage R&R studies, to process capability study, etc - but also provides a great resource for teaching these methods to others in my organization. I use Minitab and Statmost and other software applications programs for statistical analysis, and this handbook meshes very well with these types of electronic tools. It's my bible.
