Summary: Read at Your Own Risk. Some Negative Reviews are Idiotic.
Review: This book opens up a can of worms that you may best want to leave closed. It is about the creation and mechanics of the Federal Reserve, but it is also much more than that. I was originally put off from ordering it based upon the negative reviews but finally ordered it based on the recommmendations of a political chat thread participant. (Just wanted to see where he was coming from.) Well, I got much more than I expected and a much clearer picture of what is going on in the US and the world.

With regards to the negative reviews, some of them are stupid and most of them make invalid claims. For example, one reviewer who claims to have been in banking for 28 years says that the Federal Reserve is not increasing the money supply congress is. Duh! Of course, but what has that got to do with the price of corn in Iowa? 28 years of banking? Now, I'm really worried.

The bottom line. Read the book and make your own decision. Most readers have found the book as illuminating as I did and are glad that they have taken the time to go through it. I'm sure you will too. Highly recommended if you are interested in having your beliefs and assumptions challanged or want an excellent treatment of the topic. (Review based on the newest edition as of August 2004.

Summary: Excellent expose of history, should be in public schools
Review: Very easy to read and follow. Griffin is an excellent historian and makes the tough stuff understandable for those new to understanding the "real" system. Everyone should have this book. Those who think that this book is just a bunch of conspiracy theories, are deceived. Griffin's site is www.realityzone.com
