Rating: 5 stars
Summary: THE standard work on statistical process control.
Review: Covers how to create and use the 7 basic tools of SPC: histograms, cause-and-effect "fishbone" diagrams, check sheets, Pareto diagrams, run charts, control charts, and scatter plots.

Simple, clear language with excellent examples.

Every business manager should keep this book at her desk for quick reference; anyone involved in production processes or quality control should read it cover to cover and know it by heart.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Excellent Guide to JUSE Seven Tools
Review: The author, Kaoru Ishikawa, having one of the tools named after him, the Ishikawa (fishbone) diagram, should provide a bit of insight into the knowledge contained in this book. If you are interested in learning how to use the seven tools mentioned in TQM and Six Sigma I would highly suggest this book. Much of the software available today will do the math for you but this book will give you an understandning of the theory behind each tool, when to use, how to interpret the results, what to watch out for.
Many books on Six Sigma and Quality mention these tools but this book gives you the information to allow you to use them.
