Rating: Summary: Yoy must buy this book! Review: Being a recent college grad and trying to make the difficult transition from college to the real world is extremely frustrating. But, after reading this wonderful book written by Jennifer Kushell and Scott Kaufman I feel so much more at ease, to say the least. This book teaches you the REAL thing, not what we are taught in school. This is the kind of material we should be taught in the classroom!! Every student should have to read this book, as well as the teacher. This book really motivates you. The reading is not difficult, and it is very interesting. If I read this book while I was in school, I would have a lot more knowledge as to how the real world really works. This is definitely a book worth reading...and I am buying it for all of my friends!!! Kudos to Jennifer ans Scott!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Must read... Review: I'm 22 years old and I wish I had this book ten years ago, this is a clear guide through the obstacles we all face at some point, and you feel as if you have a friend there with you the whole time!
Rating: Summary: It's never too late Review: I'm 26, and finding a lot of parallels with this book & myself. I'm only 50 pages into it, and already feeling even more inspired about what I'm doing & where I'm headed. The suggestions & advice contained in it couldn't be any closer to the truth.Excellent book. I would highly recommend this to ANYONE with a dream to do great things!

Rating: Summary: Well known Info but Good Read Review: I'm very disappointed with this book. Very vague and broad examples and not a lot of the nuts and bolts of success. Jennifer Kushell is the self crowned princess of the young entrepreneurial spirit. She claims to have launched successfull business ventures but never elaborates anywhere in her books or websites and instead offers page after page of fluff and filler on how to get ahead. After wasting my time with this book and two of her other books, I'd be skeptical of allowing her to run a lemonade stand. Please save your time and money. There are many better choices by PROVEN success stories. Multiple streams of Income by Robert Allen and How to Buy a Business: Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition by Richard A. Joseph are two of many that are a much better read for your time and money
Rating: Summary: On Point Review: The authors of this book did an incredible job of profiling some of the country's hottest 20 & 30 somethings. It is so cool to read about my peers going out and rising to the top of their industries at such a young age...Maybe now, people will stop claiming our generation is full of lazy people..How could you EVER think that after reading this book..It made me put down my TV remote and actually sit down to begin writing the buisness plan that I have been putting off for the last 6 months..I have been complaining that I get anyone to listen to my great business ideas and yet I haven't actually done my homework to map out my plan for the bar that I want to open. Reading this book made me relaize that I can probably open my bar within the next 6 months to a year if I start networking and get serious about raising capital for the project. Thanks for the motivation and inspiration. You guys ROCK!
Rating: Summary: Well known Info but Good Read Review: This is the same as other self help books: encouraging, but it has one message that continually stands out in the book: you need to have ambition and a plan. A good guide for someone in their early 20s or late teens. Similar books I would recommend, how to be twice as smart (old book but good advice) and how to win friends and influence people by dale carnegie....
Rating: Summary: A First Class Guide to Getting Ahead Review: Three words for the young and the restless: buy this book! More than a squishy feel-good book, this is a hands on guide to getting ahead and making smart decisions in your life. Jennifer Kushell and Scott Kaufman have put together the first book I have seen that goes beyond the superficial level of getting you motivated, and tells you step-by-step how to prioritize your goals and then make them happen. Put simply, this book has substance. It contains profiles of real people who have achieved success - not just celebrities and overnight successes, but people with whom you can relate. It is as if the authors methodically distilled the ideas and actions that made these people successful and broke it down to a formula readers can use in their own lives. They also give you a peak into their own lives, and the lives of their friends, making their experiences feel accessible to the reader. My twenty-something friends will be receiving this book as birthday gifts, and this will be my number one graduation gift this year for high school and college seniors.
Rating: Summary: It's About Time.. Review: WOW..How refreshing to read a book whose time is long overdue...Where was this book when I was in high school or college? I just learned more from Jennifer & Scott's book about practical tips for success then I did in 4 years of college classes. I feel like I can better market myself for success with their advice and I am confident now that I can fulfill all of my professional goals. Thanks for giving me a push in the right direction. This book should be required reading for anyone in school as it has valuable life lessons that could do America's students a world of good...Thanks for writing a book that encourages our generation to get off our butts and create our own amazing reality. I am pumped up now from reading the book and am going to tell all of my friends that they must check it out for themselves..
