Summary: The Accidental Salesperson
Review: The title of this book describes me! I "fell" into sales so the strategies and tools that Chris Lytle shares gave me everything I needed to be successful in sales. This book is easy to read, practical, yet written in an entertaining style. I highly recommend it to those who are new to sales and those who are more seasoned - you'll more than likely find some new tools for your sales toolbox!

Summary: Simple and effective
Review: There are gems of wisdom in this book for even the most seasoned sales executive. I keep it on my desk for inspiration. Do you sometimes fear making a call to an account you don't know very well? Are you sometimes uncomfortable asking for the business? Lytle has written a fantastic book. Summary: Don't let the title fool you
Review: This is NOT just a book for the first time business owner who all of a sudden finds out he/she has to sell something to make money. This is a book that lays out the very best practices of becoming a better salesperson, maybe even a great salesperson. I emailed Mr. Lytle's organization requesting one of the templates he offers in the book. I told him that his book was one of the top two "sales" books I have read...I have more than 70. That is no longer true!! The Accidental Salesperson is the BEST book on sales I have read. I ended up highlighting most of the book, the ideas and suggestions are that good! I ran out of page flags for the cream of the crop passages. This is not a dry book, it is filled with real world stories, practices and ideas. I relished the thought every morning of reading a chapter at my local Starbucks. You can save yourself a lot of money if you buy this book first and then reread it the next time you get the urge to buy another book on sales.

Summary: The Accidental Salesperson
Review: This one of the most accurate and helpful sales books I have read. Chris does a good job of not only talking about systems, but showing you how to apply them in various situations. I am a GSM in a top 20 market and I was impressed with the details and accuracy.

Summary: Heck, read this book and I'll guarantee an increase in sales
Review: Your book "The Accidental Salesperson" was phenomenal. Absolutely the best book on sales I've ever read (and I've read many) and so applicable to my situation. I'm a West Point graduate who stumbled upon a financial planning practice - and the idea of a sales system outside of cold calling has encouraged me to shake up my routine. Thank you so much Mr. Lytle for such timely advice.

Of note: Today is Sunday and after applying the third step (there are 16 steps) in the "Getting to Anybody" process of this book, I got a call back to set up a meeting. Not too bad, eh? And on a weekend...

Final Answer: Buy a new tie and feel good for a day. Buy this book and feel good period.
