Summary: Good math, better writing, great application
Review: First of all, it would be nice if Amazon would discount this book even 5 or 10%. Toss us a bone! Most peoplfinancial managers can appreciate the significance of the 5% retailer discount.

With that said, this is the difinitive book in the area of financial anaylisis and processes. But don't let that comment fool you, the real value of the book is how it translates to practical decision-making in the realm of financial strategy. It's truly nuts and bolts of tactics - and that's where the book really shines.

I, for one, am a person who loves financial theory. Macro-economics is truly a blast to think through. But, lest I kid myself, the real value of knowing financial theory is to do finance. What is knowledge without action? And it's in the action that palms get swetty, and fingernails get bitten off. However, having sound reason for financial decisions certainly helps one sleep at night, and that's what this text is ultimately about.

Additionally, the authors prompt the reader by demonstrating why this content is relevant. In short, they don't merely camp on the 'what' question, but make the all important transition to the 'why' question.
