Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Common Sense Home Renovation
Review: In 1985 I went into my local bookstore looking for THE book that would help me gut and renovate a 1900's vintage frame two flat and turn it into a high end single family dwelling. My background was a solid "do-it-yourselfer" combined with some woodworking. I found "Home Renovation" invaluable. Good basic information, no Bob Vila, just a few concise paragraphs and some well drawn sketches to give me the information I was looking for on virtually any topic.

During my project two well intentioned friends gave me books which sit on my shelf gathering dust. "Home Renovation" resides right next to them, a dirty, broken, paperback that I constantly return to for information.

My only criticisim is the index, which is limited. But if you are planning a renovation project, this is a great resource.
