Review: This text, although gettting a bit old, remains a powerful reference in the environmental sciences. Virtually every issue one would want to consider when assessing the risks posed by chemicals in the environment is addressed.

I found the case studies to be particularly illuminating. There seems to be no other text which provides this level of detail for conducting a risk assessment. Now that the text is nearly 13 years old, I find it an invaluable reference for understanding how assessments were or should have been conducted during the years when Superfund and RCRA assessments were commonplace.
