Summary: Overall Good Read
Review:
I have overcome my apprehension of buying e-book (yes, this is my first time) by purchasing this one. Wu-haa!

Author gives some basic "secrets" of selling stuff on eBay. These secrets are useful for newbies, but for seasoned eBay players, they probably have learned these through experience (like the author).

All in all, it was a good read and I recommend this e-book to anyone who is new to eBay and similar online auctions. It is better to read this book and fast-track your learning than to experience all of the mentioned mistakes yourself.

Also worth noting is that, the method explained in this book might only work on an auction site with big audience (I supposed that's why the author put "eBay" in the title). If you use this method at sites with small audience, you could land yourself in trouble of not getting enough number of bids.

I give only 3 stars because I thought this 67-page e-book is a little pricy and tips explained are for beginners.

Summary: Already made my money back with this book!
Review: I consider myself a casual ebay user doing auction sales as a hobby instead of trying to make money. Even so, who wouldn't want to bring in more money? After I bought and read this book, I applied the tips that the author described and was amazed at the noticeable difference in how my auctions attracted attention. The auction page hits easily doubled if not tripled what I was getting compared to my experience prior to reading this book.

This book is written in a very easy to read style and although the first-time reader may be tempted to jump to the end to start using the tips, I encourage that reader to start from the beginning and read straight through to the end. Even for the more experienced ebay seller, this book does have enough tips to make it worth your while. I keep my copy close at hand to as I create new auctions so I don't miss out on any of the tips!

The author encourages readers to email with questions. I have emailed the author on occasion with questions and have received prompt and helpful responses.

Definitely a great book and a super author!

Summary: How eBay Secrets Worked for Me
Review: I experienced an immediate impact to my eBay listings when I started using the bid multiplier way prescribed in this book. My listings started receiving exponentially more hits and I started making money from my listings.
I have sold items that I would normally discard or sell in garage sales...and I have made money doing it.
My whole family is now excited about the bid multiplier way: I sell things for my grandparents, my kids, my employer... I have become the local eBay hero.
eBay Secrets is an easy read. Within minutes you will realize the value of what you are reading.
Don't list another item until you've read this book.

Summary: If you want hints and tips for higher profit, buy this book
Review: I have been eBaying for a couple of years and thought I was pretty savvy. This book taught me several important things to help me get even better response from my auctions.
I second the reviewer who suggested you read it twice so you do not miss anything. This title is full of important information you do not want to miss (unless of course you want to give money away).
The author answers email and is very helpful. You will not go wrong in buying this book if you want success from eBay.

Summary: The best I've read so far
Review: I love this book! It's very different from anything else I've ever read about eBay. So many alleged eBay experts just rehash the same conventional wisdom. This book is filled with unique and aggressive techniques. I've tried them and (so far so good) they work!

I'm only a part-time eBayer, but I'm always happy to make more money. Thanks for writing this book!

Summary: Doesn't really work....
Review: I think it depends on what you are selling. If your item is really popular like an Apple ipod or a designer handbag, then it would work. If it isn't, you will simply get less money.

I tried the methods several times. I got plenty of bids, hits and watchers but I ended up getting less money than my competitors because people were bidding in small increments.
I also found that those with hundreds and thousands of feedback were getting better prices for their items.

More bids does not always mean more money. :-(

Summary: If nothing else it was a very entertaining read
Review: I think this book has about 70 pages, but I couldn't stop reading it. This book gives you everything you need to know to have a successful auction business. Very creative and original, and a little exciting. I picked up a lot of new tricks that were not mentioned in other Ebay ebooks. The funny thing about this book is that it suggests things that you wouldn't think work but supposedly they do. Very inspiring. Thanks a lot.

Summary: A Must-Read for Anyone Selling on eBay!!!
Review: I was a little bit skeptical of this book at first since it seems like there are so many "get rich quick" schemes out there that are hoaxes. But a friend recommended this book to me when I mentioned that I was doing some spring cleaning and wanted to try selling some of my stuff on eBay. Honestly, the techniques in eBay Secrets are awesome. This book doesn't make radical promises. What it does is help you create the best auctions possible to maximize bids, and consequently, the amount people are paying for your stuff. White's methods are really easy to use, and best of all, they work. I got twice as much from my items as I'd hoped, and several of my old handbags that I had up for auction sold for MORE than I originally paid for them! All of my items sold for way more than comparable items that were listed, too. Basically, the way I see it, you are throwing money away if you are selling things on eBay and you don't buy this book because you will get so much more from your auctions if you use the strategies from eBay Secrets.

Summary: It Does Work!
Review: I'm always skeptical about positive reviews for things that teach you how to make money. But I was looking into trying to market my mother's beautiful hand knit goods on eBay and having little success. So I decided to take a chance and downloaded this book to read. It's short so I figured what's the harm in investing the time to read it. A lot of what I read was common sense but I just hadn't thought of it! Then I experimented with 2 of my listings using the methods in the book. And it worked! My mother just about died when she saw I was listing her beautiful scarves at less than $1. But when the final bid was cast, we both could see that the book's advice had been worth gold! Read it if you're serious about lifting your eBay sales!

Summary: Great Primer
Review: I'm an eBay novice; when I bought this book I had never purchased or sold anything on eBay. I wasn't interested in selling on eBay as a full-time career. I was looking for an additional outlet for the books my husband and I write and publish as well as a fun way to sell some of the many artifacts we keep managing to accumulate. (And yes, as a way to buy more goodies too!) After reading White's primer, I immediately felt I had a good grounding in the finer points of accomplishing both goals--not as a perennial "jellybean" (White's term for eBay bean-brains)--but as a savvy merchant and a smart consumer. The book amply covers all the techniques described in the product blurb and does so in a conversational style that makes for a quick yet easy-to-retain read. White shares tips on starting an eBay biz with little (or no) capital and on how to expand your business once it's off the ground. But this is no get-rich-quick schematic. The author stresses that the successful eBay merchant must do his or her homework and must put in physical and mental effort to give buyers their money's worth. And isn't helping others while you help you and yours what reaps the real moral--and financial--rewards in every business?
