Summary: winning every day
Review: Online Review

Lou Holtz has written a motivational book based on his coaching experiences. He has taken the lessons he has learned coaching athletes and applied them to everyday living. Coach Holtz will show you how to apply his ten rules for living to your life. He will show you how to become a winner and lead a successful life. I found Winning Every Day to be an interesting book. I believe I can apply his rules to my own life to be a better person. The examples he uses to make a point are interesting. Some examples are funny, some are sad. This is a good read.

Summary: An interesting read on methods for success in life.
Review: The book by Lou Holtz was certainly inspiring, especially for anyone who loves Notre Dame football. Frankly, I was disappointed that a book devoted to the pursuit of excellence was obviously not proof read. Harper Collins Publishers seemed too anxious to crank this book out,as a result, there are many errors that even a casual Notre Dame follower would notice. Opponent's nicknames were misidentified, the first names of Holtz's players were wrong, and even some player's last names were misspelled. Time sequences in games were jumbled and confused In short, I admire Lou Holtz and his pursuit of excellence, but am shocked that he could put his name on a book thatis so poorly proof read!

Summary: Humorous, Inspirational, and Motivating
Review: This is a great book. I wish I could have read it without ever having had to put it down; it is captivating. This man is much deeper and introspective than I thought when I saw his grim face on the sidelines. He is actually quite a comedian too! As a Michigan alum, he was a tremendous adversary. Nevertheless, who couldn't have respect for what he has accomplished? After reading his book, I now have even greater respect for Lou Holtz. The book has 11 chapters. I have little doubt that Chapter 12 will be represented by an SEC and a National Championship by the University of South Carolina Gamecocks!!!! Go Lou!

Summary: Excellent
Review: This is an excellent book. It belongs right next to Harvey Mackay's and Ken Blanchard's works. Great inspiration. However I gave it only 4 stars for ... you guessed it ... gramar. When you write a good book, make sure you read it before it goes to print.

Summary: This book had a special impact in my life
Review: Undoubtedly, this book is one of the best motivational books I have read. It helped me to focus on my goals and how to achieve them. In one word, EXCELLENT!.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Top notch life and success manual
Review: Wonderful, realistic lessons about life and winning. Several memorable and hilarious jokes, a lot of valuable advice. Two jokes come immediately to mind--the one about Holtz's non-request upon leaving Notre Dame, and the one about the fire truck with bad brakes. There are many others. This book really speaks to people where they are, and because it is modern, is probably more valuable than some of the classics like Think and Grow Rich, etc. Besides, coaches just have a special way of telling it like it is. A winner.
