Rating: Summary: Student's Choice Review: As an instructor, this is the only basic statistics book that I have found that the students actually used the book. The author does a good job of explaining the background of "why" we use particular procedures rather than focussing on only the "how". He also incorporates easy step by step outlines of each procedure. The book is well organized, includes a multitude of problems, and includes a data CD. Untill I write my own, I'll use this one.

Rating: Summary: Didn't like it at all... Review: Not that I think things should be dumbed down or anything, but this book was too complicated! It made simple things more difficult than they actually are. I never read this book and still got an A in Statistics. Instead of reading this, I just went over each problem once with a friend or tutor. If this book is required, I guess you are stuck and have to get it, otherwise, don't buy it!
Rating: Summary: Student's Choice Review: This book looks great when you're browsing throught it in a bookstore, but when it is actually examined, it is unclear and non-directional. I don't recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn Statistics. The examples are extremely long and drawn out, I contiuously found myself asking the question: what?
