There is so much food for thought in here for serious parents, and also so much practical stuff too. If you like Charlotte Mason style education, you will love this book. Even if you don't, you will still love this book. It's well worth it.

Summary: Excellent book..motivating, encouraging, and inspiring
Review: This is an excellent book; well worth the money. I would recommend it to new and homeschool veterans alike. The Clarksons present their ideas and philosopies without criticizing those who differ from their own. Written from a completely Christian perspective; it gives plenty of Scriptural references to guide you along. They also suggest some different curricullum for math, etc. without absolutely endorsing or condemning any one publisher; which is rare and refreshing to find in a homeschool book these days! I give it 5 stars and recommend it to any one thinking of or already homeschooling.
