Summary: Tranquility is Possible
Review: Life as a homeschooling mother, while blessed, can be hectic at times. Do you want to know the "cure"...the true solution...the easy solution???? Read Mrs. Field's book! The answer is simple and, while she doesn't give the answer in one bold sentence on page ??, you will find the answer in your heart upon completion of the book. This book is literally filled with scriptures from the Holy Bible. Those scriptures are related to homeschooling in a way that brings tears to the eyes, joy to the heart, and peace to the soul. This book will grace my library shelves for years to come and will be referred to often. I highly recommend this book to any and all.

Summary: Not what I expected....
Review: There is nothing in the Amazon "book description" that suggests that this is a fundamentalist Christian book. Nothing wrong with a fundamentalist viewpoint...I just want to know ahead of time if I am buying a book that is as much about leading a Christian life as it is about homeschooling. I expected a book dealing with balancing my life as it pertains to homeschooling versus a book that covers balancing my life solely from a spiritual perspective. For some people, homeschooling and spirituality aren't the exact same thing. The description and title of the book could have been more forthcoming.

Summary: great advice esp. for parents with young children
Review: This book gave me the encouragement I needed plus some helpful advice. I loved her book "A Field Guide to Homeschooling" and this book is a great addition to the collection. Alot of common sense that doesn't seem so common to moms when they are in the middle of the situation.

I especially loved her advice about how to manage teaching multi-age children and about how to manage homeschooling with a toddler in the house. I put down the book and made my own "Danny-Do" cards for my toddler the first day. It has made a difference in our household.

Thanks again, Christine, for the encouragement.

Summary: One of the best I've read
Review: This book is indeed from a Christian viewpoint, and it literally touched me on a soul level. I found myself laughing at times, and close to being choked up at times as well. Christine is a brilliant writer with a touching wit. I received this book as a gift two days ago, and have honestly not been able to put it down. I finished it this morning and am grateful for the insights it provided me. I highly recommend this book!
