Rating: Summary: Help and relief, yes. Cure, no. Review: Every one has different experiences with psoriasis and the various "cures" available. This one works for me where others have not. After 6 months on a modified regimen primarily of milk thistle, B-50 or 100 complex, garlic oil, lecithin and Omega-3/GLA, my skin has actually cleared in most places. I don't take all the supplements LeVan discusses. Being off the regimen for very long allows the lesions to re-form. This book was the first I have found that addresses the underlying biochemical cause of psoriasis (liver malfunction) and gives a non-steroid option for relief. At the very least I can now function in relative comfort and have worn short sleeves in public for the first time in years. Hurrah for this book!

Rating: Summary: Please, don't waste your money Review: For all of us who suffer from this heartbreaking disease, this is yet another waste of money. You can get more information from the psoriasis newsgroup and the npf than you will ever get from this book.
Rating: Summary: worth a read Review: Good points abound in this book. Check it out if you or someone you know suffers from psoriasis.
Rating: Summary: ~Power of Knowledge~ Review: I am a psoriasis sufferer since the age of 14-yrs old and decided to try a different approach. So I recently bought "The Psoriasis Cure" and just finished reading it. It's amazing what you can learn about what dermatologist don't tell you. I am about to try the nutritional program. However, itemizing the additional supplements and herbs similar to the chart for the multivitamins on pages 70, 71 and 73 would be more helpful and easier than flipping through the pages at the drugstore. I feel confident enough to buy the multivitamins based on the chart on the above pages but am still working on the additional supplements. Recommending some brand names for the multivitamins to go with the evening primrose oil would be helpful. There are so many brands out there and it can get confusing which one is the best selection. I am anxious to see my results and finally controlling my psoriasis. Thank you for putting all the research into such a great book. It has definitely educated me more about my condition. Feedback from the author would be great. P.S. I actually recommended the book to a woman on the train who saw me reading the book. She has the same condition and seemed excited when I told her the book was great. She wrote down the information to purchase the book. Amazing!

Rating: Summary: A word of caution from a nutritionist Review: I have news for you, there is no cure. Ask any competent physician, pharmacist, or person tuned in to reality. I have this stuff on my elbows, etc. So what. I offer my own, real life solution to anyone who has this mildly; people with real pain and suffering excluded (hopefully seeing a physician). If you're embarrassed by this you will need: to gain self confidence | long sleeved shirt, pants, or gloves. If it's dry and scaley you will need: moisturizer | ointment of some sort; keep trying, every person is different. If it's in big red spots you will need: try sunlight. Regularly. More the merrier. Seriously.

Rating: Summary: There has to be better than this! Review: I picture the author writing this book with a pile of old health and new age books all around her as a reference. This is general, elementary stuff that could easily be applied to any disease. "Regular exercise," "Eat good foods," "Get lots of sleep," and other condescending axioms grace every page. Give me a break!
