Summary: An excellent book in Bowl Care
Review: A Complete Program for Tissue Cleansing Through Bowel Management by Bernard Jensen is an excellent book on the subject. Explanations given on colone and parasite cleansings are so extensive. I am sure all of you will feel a lot better once you do these two major things. It also has some photos so that you will have a better understanding of what is what. Dr Jensen says herbal cleansing is much cheaper economically. It is an extremely good book for people who are willing to experiment on new methods. You have to see it to believe what you have been storing inside your body for all these years.

After eliminating my coffee habit with the help of a wonderful coffee substitute made from soya beans called "Soyffee", I'm feeling so much better. My doctor recommended it to help lower my cholesterol and promote strong bones. It's available online at www.S o y c o f f e e.com.

Summary: A Good reference
Review: A very good reference especially for those with any type of Bowel disfunction or concern. makes a good companion to Reid's Books.
A good eye opener with specifics to assist everyone and covers much more than bowel concerns. A good overall reference for enhancing one's health.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Skeptics shouldn't knock it until they have tried it.
Review: After doing the colon cleanse he recommends, I found that I DID have lots of rotting stuff in my body! After 3 days of fasting, stuff was still coming out. You can't tell me that was just normal bowel movements. Some of it looked exactly like what is shown in the pictures in the book. It was obvious that it had been in my colon for a long time.

Great book for those who are willing to try something other than just the traditional medical route of healing. Medicine can be helpful, especially for symptoms, but this type of treatment addresses the cause of disease, and can have longer lasting effects. It does take a tremendous amount of effort, but the results are amazing.

From my own research, I have found colon cleansing to be safe, when a few simple precautions are followed...the tube should not go in more than 3 inches, as Dr. Jensen mentions in his book, and you should be careful not to put too much water in at once to avoid over-stretching the colon. I would recommend consulting a liscensed colon hydrotherapist for advice before trying it yourself, just to be totally safe. There are some health conditions which make it dangerous.

Summary: there are better books on the subject
Review: Colonic irrigations arent necessary to cleanse the bowel.A good colon cleasing supplement will do the job combined with drinking lots of water.Alot of people doubt that colonic plaque really exists, but it does.It occurs mostly in sedentary people with poor eating habits, but can be found in everyone to a degree. This plaque becomes rancid over time in a process called putrefaction which can poison the bowel and lead to various symptoms, including fatigue, headaches, etc. Can also sometimes result in cancer. Moreover, this plaque buildup can block nutrient absorption through the bowel walls,so you dont get as much from your food.Health begins in the colon, and everyone should take care of theirs.

Review: Do you know if your body is actually getting to use those nutrients you put in it? Everybody should read this book. Ask your doctor to read it.

When I personally used Dr. Jensen's program, I gained much needed energy and lost some weight. It has changed my perspective on food and life. Fantastic! A real eye opener.

Summary: Dr. Jensen's Guide to Better Bowel Care
Review: EXCELLENT - EXCELLENT - EXCELLENT!!!!
Fully understandable description of your inners.
I feel fully informed and enlighted and ready to act. This book propels me to "get healthier". I'm looking forward to other books by this author, as well as, seminars and retreats.

Summary: It's a cult, not a reference!
Review: I admit that this book had me going for a while. The first thing you're likely to do is flip to the last few pages to look at the "Shock! Horror!" photos of long rubber-like feces. He leads you to believe, and apparently quite successfully, that everyone has pounds of rotting crap like that stuck to the lining of their colon. His philosophy is that everyone should undergo regular colemas in order to clear out that crap and rid their body of toxins. He also stresses that everyone should have at least 3 bowel movements per day. If you don't, you're poisoning your body. After reading the second chapter and viewing the disturbing photos, I got so obsessed with what's "stuck and roting in my colon", that I became constipated for a week! But then, after doing a little more research, I discovered that colon irrigation is very risky, and is likely unjustified. Unfortunately, Dr. Jensen spends very little effort on explaining the risks.

After realizing that Dr. Jensen isn't an authority on the subject of bowel health, I then started noticing a lot of other flaws in the book. Dr. Jensen uses his "credentials" as a "doctor" to justify everything he writes, but really doesn't have anything else to back him up. There are a lot of "I believe" and "It has been my experience" type statements. So the first point I want to make is that this book is NOT a reference. It is an essay (an analytic composition dealing with its subject from a limited or personal point of view).

The second, and perhaps more important point I want to make is that anyone who chooses to read this book should do so with caution. They should do their research before they start experimenting on their body. Get a second opinion from a professional. Don't assume that everything in this book is factual. It's one man's opinion.

That all being said, this book was an interesting read, and did get me thinking. It just scares me that so many people seem to take it as gospel!

Summary: And the results.....
Review: I bought this book, because I had what I would call "unenthusiastic bowel movements" : not regular, often liquid and not every day.
4 months after having completed the bowel cleansing program described in this book, I am now regular, with 2-3 firm discharges a day.
I cannot think of a better reason to go trough the program, can you?

Summary: Essential reading for the health-conscious.
Review: I first became interested in natural healing and cleansing diets when I joined a gym and decided to do a full 360 and do the internal cleansing. What you read in Dr. Jensen's book could save your life, or at least open your eyes.

In a nutshell, Dr. Jensen states that many common health ailments (from diabetes to chronic pain) are aided and intensified by poor colon health. Poor diet, lack of fluid, and not eating enough of the right foods (and too much of the wrong ones) causes your colon to get blocked and can lead to a lifetime of health problems. What I learned was shocking, and it is beleived that most people have 10 pounds of impaced fecal material in them. Dr. Jensen's program for cleansing is meant to help clear it out, and promote an overall good state of health.

While I will not testify to the effectiveness of the program, I found the information helpful and fascinating. Dr. Jensen's program is easy for the average person to grasp, and it makes sense on so many levels. Most people are shy about discussing bowel care, but few realize how important it is. This book is essential reading, and I know it has helped me see things differently in the way I take care of myself.

One word of warning, though. This book contains 25 full color photos of actual cleansing discharge from Dr. Jensen's patients. This is absolutely stomach turning to look at, but keep in mind that the point of the book is not too sugar-coat the need for bowel care, so it is important that you see the plan in action. Just don't read the book while eating.

With the trend of healthy living on the rise, many people (myself included) are trying to break bad habits and adopt a healthy lifestyle. Bowel management never even entered my mind until I read Dr. Jensen's books, and seeing things now, I am glad I did. This is one of the best books on the subject, and I would recommend it to anyone.
