Review: This book has the advantage of a number of full-color photographs, and is interesting in that it describes how bees are apparently kept in Europe. However, it is quite brief, and a beginning beekeeper would not be able to start succesfully with only the information in this book. It should be considered to be a supplement to other texts.

This book has a very european look and feel to the instructions and hive structures mentioned. I would not recommend this book to anyone interested in beekeeping with the one exception of, if you are writing a book on beekeeping use it as a guide on how not to write one.
