Review: ...which is exactly what I thought when I first heard about the Pre-Paid Legal Services. Even as I read the book, I thought that people just won't believe all this ~ it's too good to be true. I am here to tell you that the Pre-Paid Legal Story is true and Harland & Shirley Stonecipher are salt-of-the-earth, honest, hard-working people who want to make these countries better places for every American and Canadian. The book is easy to read and gives a clear and concise overview of the Stoneciphers' mission. It's a must read for those who visualize how great our world could be and who are willing to do something about it. Equal Justice for All!

Summary: After reading this book, I dusted off my dreams...
Review: and took another good look at them, and what can be achieved when you want it bad enough. It took Harland Stonecipher 30+ years to build a company and a service that truly helps honest, hard-working Americans. He could have given up a thousand times, but was stubborn enough and convinced that everyone should have equal access to affordable legal help. I became an Independent Associate of Pre-Paid Legal in June, 2001 and had the opportunity to hear Mr. Stonecipher speak. He is still an inspiration. Being in this business, working with so many dedicated, positive people and making my own dreams finally come true has been an eye-opening experience. It's easy to let the hum-drum world of a corporate employee dull your senses. After reading how he took a spark of an idea and kept fanning the flames until the idea became reality, I had to take a closer look at this company. I had never heard of it. But Pre-Paid Legal is nearly 30 years old, and traded on the New York Stock Exchange! The product is real, the people are real and the opportunity is real. This book explains it all, and it's a good read for anyone who needs to jump-start their life.

No matter what race, creed, color, or ethnicity, you now have a way to "cash your own check" and demand equal access to the justice system as well as "withdraw from the vaults" of PPL's incredicle financial opportunity. Harland's mission should be acknowledged and heralded by anyone ever having their rights trampled on or been denied justice. On top of that, he had provided a way for each Independent PPL associate to have an opportunity to achieve financial success beyond imagination. Review: Building your dream is serious business. I does not just happen, you need to take control of your life and just do it...The events and stories in this book can help you recognize how our actions DO have RE-actions that can change the world we live in. The only thing you need is, hard work, commitment and dedication. DO not believe in what other might say, read it from the source, and you too can reach your untapped potential. Mr. Stonecipher and his team did a wonderful job capturing the journey that we no dought will change our "Justice System" for the better in a very short time. Enjoy it and be prosper.

Stonecipher's account of his accident leaves out a few details, however. According to his attorney at the time and copies of the suits obtained by BusinessWeek Online, he was the first to sue in court for injuries. He later settled. Meanwhile, the driver of the other car sued Stonecipher the following year for just a fraction of what Stonecipher had sought for injuries incurred in the accident. A spokesperson for Pre-Paid says only that Stonecipher's recollection of the events are 33 years old. TheStreet.com:
In his latest IRS battle, Stonecipher is also fighting allegations that he continues to improperly deduct losses for a personal ranch that has already been denied for-profit classification by the IRS. When ruling against Stonecipher two years ago, the IRS said the ranch was never operated like a true business destined for profitability. Specifically, the agency said, Stonecipher failed to keep any formal books or records about the operation...Stonecipher recently settled the prior case related to his cattle ranch deductions. Plaintiffs further allege that Pre-Paid Legal Services operates an unlawful pyramid sales scheme. The marketing scheme allegedly depends upon commissions paid for sales of plans and upon the recruitment of other sales associates. For every sale of a plan, the associates are paid an advance commission, a percentage of which goes to those who recruited them. Bonuses are paid based upon recruitment of associates. Plaintiffs allege that defendants generate millions of dollars each year from marketing the "Opportunity," together with the sale of marketing materials, worthless lead lists, and valueless training programs sold as part of the Opportunity.

Summary: Good Better Best "The Better is now becoming the Best"
Review: I have been very interested in Pre-Paid Legal for almost 2 years now, prior to that like many Americans, I had never heard of the 28 year old Publicly traded NYSE company. This book has explained it all tremendously well. My wife and I went to a book signing yesterday in Long Beach CA and if you could have seen the 300+ faces that have been touched by this book and it`s story it would amaze you as it has my wife and I. A man and his wife, who I feel are so very entitled to "Make a Living while Making a Difference" as God put them on earth to do. If it weren`t for Harland taking his gripping story of how this all started with a car accident, and the idea of making some extra money, and how NOW it`s more than just earning an extra buck it`s about getting excited and getting involved in "The Legal Revolution" that has been created. The book to me is a beginning of a new Legal System here in America and my wife and I are proud to be involved with such an Amazing man and his wife on this journey. I also suggest reading a book that Harland Stonecipher Forwarded called Rags to Riches---You don`t have to be poor. It has helped keep my wife and our 5 daughters do more than just get by in life, It is also my belief that anyone who reads the verses in this book and believes in the truth of the word of God will be healed and will prosper. Read them both and you to will get excited as we did. If not you will hear about someday anyway, I can pretty much guarantee it!
