Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Roadmap for Blacks in this fundamentally racist society Review: Dr. Anderson does not compromise (like so many Black leaders of today) when discussing the core issues behind our bleak plight in this country- racism and economics. He attacks the 'improper behaviors' that we as blacks acquire through subconcious reinforcement, such as treachery, deceit, and 'Black Samboism' (a term I'm particularly fond of) e.g., siding with the racist majority in this country and seeking their favor at the expense of other Blacks. He also mentions a plehtora of excellent economic, religious, educational, and COMMUNITY issues that only we as Black people can improve and refine upon.
Dr. Anderson is also quite accurate in stating that Blacks will be 'a permenant, dependent underclass' if we do not begin to aggregate our resources (finanical, educational, social, etc.)
He also brings to light the sad fact of how this society is FIGHTING to marginalize and minimalize Blacks as much as possible, to keep us the better 'ignorant, docile consumer'
Moreover, how other minorities (Asians, Indians, and Arabs) seek economic opportunities in Black neighborhoods, often leaving a large 'vacumming sound' in their wake having exploited Blacks for the money that we do have.
A MUST READ FOR ALL BLACK AMERICANS!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This book has changed my life. Review: I have been a self-proclaimed conscious person for 5 years now.
I began with reading black history studying ancient african civilizations and traditions. When I found out about Ancient Kemit and Kush and the African connection to the Hebrews I honestly believed that the major problem we had in this country was lack of self-knowledge. Even though I still beleive that to be a major issue, I know now that the force that keeps us down is ignorance of a different type. It is the ignorance of how a Democratic Capitalist system truly works that keeps us at the bottom. It was and is the ignorance of our past and present leaders who push and promote intergration when it's obvious it has failed us. And finally it is each and every black individuals ignorance when he moves out of a black community when they become middle class, diluting our voting and economic base. But now i have no excuses I now know what is going on around me. If you want to know buy this book.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A MUST READ! Review: I stumbled across this book at the Shrine of Black Madonna during a recent business trip (Houston, TX) and could not put it down. Dr. Anderson notes that we Black People are the only group that measures its success on social integration (i.e. living in suburbs, shopping outside community, getting a "good job") vs. group economic development (i.e. build own idependent economy, redevelop our valuable inner cities, and control exporting our talents). The book further states that we are the only group that is totally dependent on every other groups to survive. We need other minorities to sell us goods and services in our own community and need whites to offer us jobs to purchase these items...The book offers more than a common-sense action plan that is relevant to all Black People....The plan includes roles for the Black Church, Black Colleges, and Black Politics...Again, this is a must read! Thanks Dr. Anderson! -E!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Good read Review: I thought this book was very informative. Although it does bring to light the work needed to be done on the Black pysche to turn around our economic situation.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: I wanted to like this book Review: I wanted to like this book but the suggestions are so unrealistic and in some cases so wrong that I can't reccomend it.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Very Realistic Plan Review: This book offers a VERY realistic plan for Black America. The reviewer that said it was unrealistic, truly must have little to no confidence in the Black Man and Woman. I differ strongly, if we built this country we can rebuild our own communities. And I truly believe we not only have the man power, but the creative capabilities. This book should be studied and implemented into practice AT EVERY level within EVERY ORGANIZATION that is for the empowerment of our people. Once again Dr. Claud Anderson has taken a revolutionary step in resolving issues. Blacks are victims of a traumatic experience Slavery, and continue to be victims of an overwhelming disease- White supremacy. We need all the solutions that we can get, and these solutions have proven to me, to be a necessary guide that I will implement within my own community.

Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Bravo! The Time Has Come Review: This is an extremely powerful idea. Nevertheless, what the author has in mind, to say the least, is a most daunting task. Which, of course, begs the question: has the author successfully employed the aims of his book? Inasmuch as Dr. Anderson's concepts require extraordinary organizational skills, superb fund-raising ability, a working economic model that one can study and follow, and a profound understanding of the behavioral sciences, Powernomics comes up measurably short regarding the aforementioned disciplines. Finally, a book you have to read "Diary Of An Investment Banker", is far better, ..., Powernomics is worthy of some consideration. James Rothschild, Economist
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Outstanding! Review: Very seldom do I come across a book that serves as a real solution to one of societies real problems. Black America, take notice to Dr. Anderson's work! He clearly dissects many of the social and economic issues that have held Black America back. By the same token, he has brilliantly demonstrated how Black America can realistically overcome these problems. This book is a masterpiece and I highly recommend to all!
