Rating: Summary: Lifesaver Review: Between work, school and studying I had limited amounts of time to begin looking at colleges. Petersons 4yr Guide was a lifesaver. It answered the questions I needed to know quickly and easily, helping me steer my college search in the right direction. The guide has the info I needed and keeps it all clear and well organized. I didn't waste time or get frustrated (popups) by researching on the web and I was able to narrow my choices down before meeting with my counselor. This book was a BIG help!
Rating: Summary: Not a very helpful guide book Review: I found this book to be unwieldy and not very well organized. Hundreds of colleges are described in detail, but many are not. Part of the book looks to be printed on recycled paper, and part is on whiter paper. I got better information going online to colleges I was interested in than I got from this book. Save your money!
Rating: Summary: Four Year Colleges by Peterson Review: This book is helpful if you have little information about a college(s) under consideration. The work lists individual colleges by state, location, major areas of study/research, housing, key ratios of faculty to students, financial aid, admissions, site pictures and much more. The less you know about a particular college or region- the more valuable this book may prove to be.
