Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Brilliant! Review: It is unfortunate that our nation's army of psychotherapists lack the insight into the human psyche as Mr. Douglas. His book really says something about the dark side of the human race, which we are all a part of...
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Informative, Compelling, Chilling, Memorable!!!!!! Review: I found this book to be very informative, suspensful and just plain AWESOME!!! I read this book and found myself hooked!!! John Douglas is a great FBI agent and a mastermind in his field!! I have reccommended this book to everyone I meet!!! I was interested in the FBI and profiling before, but now Douglas has me totally hooked!! Ask my friends that is all I ever talk about!! :)
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Keeps you on the edge of your seat. Review: I found this book to be very informative. I have always had the question in mind, "Why would someone do such a thing?" and even though this my not be completely answered, it is at least discussed in some detail.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Wonderfully written ! Insightful and intriguing Review: For anyone who has ever wondered what makes a killer a killer, this is the book to read. It's wonderfully written and gives detailed accounts of real life murders and investigations. Two thumbs way up!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Just totally awesome Review: This book gave me as the reader a strong base of knowledge. It was well written, and kept me very interested all throughout. It brought out the human side to our Federal Agents along with their professional side that has to deal with such atrocities.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: powerful, eyeopening, chilling, hot, memerable, moving. Review: find love and strength with every page with the moving exsperince of a endless all aspireing
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Lots of apparent hocus-pocus without good science Review: Although the meat of Douglas' material may be appealing, struggling through the self-serving "I's" ruins the punch. The arogant and condescending tone makes it difficult to find the useful information that I am sure is in there somewhere.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Fascinating! I'm hooked!!! Review: Mindhunter is my first "true crime" book and I'll admit that I'm hooked. I found some parts of the book a bit slow (especially those dealing with the author's personal life), but overall the book is compelling. I could not put it down. Be warned that some of the information is gruesome and can cause a bit of paranoia! It is hard to read this book and look at "regular people" around you in the same way. Just having finished this book, I have already bought the sequel. The subject matter is that addictive.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Excellent read for those interested in a true fbi profiler! Review: This was an extremely interesting and exciting book by one of the most notable FBI profilers. I also bought Journey into Darkness at the same time since I knew both books would be extremely good. Douglas is a far better author on profiling than his counterpart, Robert Ressler, who wrote I have lived in the Monster....Hard to put down!!!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Informitive, educational and as brilliant as the PROFILER. Review: The book MINDHUNTER leads the reader into a world previously unknown, as told by one who has been there...tragically honest and hauntingly real. In death the crime scene comes alive through the eyes and words of John Douglas. Testimony to the tremendous stides made in the field of Law Enforcement. If only now, we could say the same for the United States Judicial System... As seen by one who has also been there... Beth Disbro Hendricks County K-9 Search and Rescue Team
