Review: This study guide not only cracked open the CBEST, but it rolled out the red carpet treatment for me. In other words, this was the only study guide I utilized (although I bought others)and I went into this testing situation feeling confident and ready for the challenge. I felt like royalty that knew an inside secret when I opened the test booklet and was able to put into action my plan to conquer this conquest - THE CBEST!!! I remembered so many helpful hints from this study guide that I utilized for the test. In fact, my weakest link I predicted was writing and yet my score received was 75 out of a possible 80. I used the same terminology as the examples suggested and it worked! Additionally, I scored well on Math and utilized many of the mneumonic devices suggested in this guide to help me complete the challenges before me. In fact, there were so many suggestions on how to use the answers first to help me solve the problems, that I seemed to whiz through the Math section. That's not to say that the testing situation itself is not intense.....it most certainly is, but with all of the helpful hints contained within this book, certainly you will do well to spend the dollars suggested to obtain your copy. You have surely wasted money on so many insignificant things for your life.....this book is significant.....bless yourself with the gift of CRACKING THE CBEST and then go out in this world and teach the future of America......my prayers will be with you.

Summary: The Only CBEST Prep Book You Will Need
Review: Today was a great day, because TODAY I received my passing CBEST scores in the mail. I owe this passing grade to my parents, who instilled in me a great work and study ethic...but next in line for gratitude is the CRACKING THE CBEST book. I looked at other books, and, in fact, a week before the test, succumbed to pressure and went out and bought the CLIFFS NOTES CBEST prep guide. What a waste of money and time! It was an outdated book which hypothesized that the test was much more difficult than it was. The Princeton Review's CRACKING THE CBEST book is the only book you will need. I read through it twice, took the practice exams, and sailed through the CBEST itself, confident that I had passed. It was practical, in that it only told you what you needed to know. Actually, the CBEST was even easier than what was in this book, but it was pretty close. Thanks Mom, Dad, and Princeton Review!

Summary: Possibly the best review book ever written.
Review: Unlike the standard review book on the market, Mr. Sliter's book has two qualities that single it out as unique. The first is a witty, fun-to-read style that will make you forget that you are studying for a test! The second is an obvious insight into the mind of the test-taker that other authors fail to demonstrate. When reading his book, you feel that Mr. Sliter understands what you are going through and is there to make sure that you realize your dreams. Thanks to Cracking the Best, I certainly did!

Review: Well I passed the CBEST. This book prepared me for the test and gave me some really good test taking strategies to pass the test. The test wasn't as bad as I thought and this book really prepared me in all subject matters.

I was certain I'd fail the math section but, after reading and practicing, I scored almost perfect on the math section and passed the whole CBEST on my first try. Thanks to this book, I knew what to expect, was calm, and had more than enough time to finish each section. Buy it! It is well worth the money!
