Review: "A Smile As Big As The Moon" is one of the most heart-warming books I've ever read! More than once did I find I had tears in my eyes. I never met any of the kids, but I feel like I got to know each and every one of them. This is the kind of story that restores your faith in human nature. There truly are special people in this world. Mike Kersjes has a heart as big as the moon!

Review: A Smile As Big As the Moon is a wonderful and well told saga of Mike Kersjes and Robin McKinney as they work together to enable a group of students with disabilities residing in Grand Rapids to go to Space Camp. The book certainly demonstrates what individuals with a dream and a love for students can make happen in spite on numerous obstacles. Far to often students with disabilities are never presented opportunities to 'shine' and achieve their full potential. A Smile As Big As the Moon is a case study of how to do this. Anyone who works with or knows of students with disabilities will have their hearts warmed by this most wonderful book.

Review: After reading "A Smile As Big As The Moon" by Micheal Kersjes, I can only say bravo! Mr. Kersjes has written a wonderful story about the power of the human spirit. I have found a new respect for all special education teachers. He shows in this book that faith and hard work can accomplish anything. This is a must read for anyone who enjoys stories of triumph over adversity.

If these mentally challenged children that don't know the meaning of self discipline can find within themselves a goal of monumental meaning whereby they change their entire life in a period of about a year to compete against two hundred other students and accomplish fantastic results then you can do the same for yourself. The story ending is one that make dreams come true because of what has happened before. Don't miss this one!

Review: For all of us wanting a break from the tragedy of Sep.11 this story is a shining example of the goodness that exists in this world. Heartwarming and inspirational, especially for anyone who is stuggling to achieve the "impossible". I can't wait for the movie!
