Summary: Excellent!
Review: "How many people realize that the first president of the United States was not George Washington but a man named John Hanson?

How many know that the state of Pennsylvania was misspelled as "Pensylvania" on the U.S. Constitution? And who knew that in 1876 an amendment to the Constitution was introduced that would have abolished the U.S. Senate? Or that another amendment, proposed in 1893, would have renamed the country the United States of the Earth?

All of these fun and little-known facts can be found in a pocket size guide to the constitution entitled "The U.S. Constitution and Fascinating Facts About It."

I found this wording on the web site for the book at ...and it is the best way for me to tell readers why I thought this book was excellent. The book is interesting and fast reading, and you learn a lot of fun and intersting facts along the way. I can't say enough good things about the book and the author!

Summary: Essential reading for every American!

This book will encourages us to take the time to appreciate the principles of government. It will also encourage discussions about public policy and the proper role of government.

The principles in the Constitution will serve us well if we understand them and apply them as well. It lives as long as it is alive in the hearts and minds of every American. Our Government officials must respect their oaths to uphold the Constitution!

This is essential reading for now and always. May we always live free because we have taken the time to educate ourselves. May we teach our children to read, so they too will be free.

Summary: You'll be amazed at how interesting the Constitution can be!
Review: I have been an American history teacher since 1970 (Advanced Placement United States History since 1983), and have been tremendously interested in the Constitution in terms of its legal and historic importance. When the chance came to write a book about the Constitution, I was very anxious to put something together that would be both fun and informative. The Constitution has been the most remarkable document in American history, because it has stood the "test of time" for more than 200 years, and its longevity is based upon its flexibility (or "its perpetuity" is founded on "its ambiguity"). "The U.S. Constitution and Fascinating Facts about It" is not only a book that features the documents associated with the Constitution (including the actual Constitution), but it also highlights many of its most important and interesting aspects. You will read about what happened to the Founding Fathers, learn about the importance of the Supreme Court in interpreting the Constitution, and have access to a glossary of terms to help you understand basic constitutional and legal concepts. The book also contains a list of important dates in the development of the Constitution and an interesting section on the amending process. This is a book for young and old alike!

Summary: A concise review of the worlds most powerful document
Review: I was first introduced to this book while attending law school. During my Constitutional law classes a professor recomended this little pocket book that reviewed and outlined the constitution. I was amazed then and continue to be delighted with the the historical developments that are shared in this "quick read". For under three dollars I actually learned more on the constitution than I did with texts that cost several hundreds of dollars each. ***** Five Stars, this is a real keeper.

Summary: The Book Most Americans Ignore
Review: It's a shame we live in a time when our freedoms are being taken away by the "Demonic" Federal Government. We have lost the reality that each individual is a king and queen in his or her own right. So, I suggest every US citizen read this book, and remember the principals which this nation was built upon.

Summary: WOW. By J. Markowitz
Review: That's the only word that can possibly come out of one's mouth when you get a load of this book. This book is something that should be used as a reference in every home! There is a copy of the entire Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation, heck, what more could you ask for? Facts? You ask for facts? Hey, there are awesome facts, good to know facts, and just for the fun of it facts, too! Like, in 1878, an amendment stating that an executive council of three should replace the president tried to get passed! For only a few bucks, I'm very glad I purchased this book because I love it and use it all the time.

Review: This book is fast becoming one of my main resources for classes in school. It puts all of the things that I needed for the classes in an easy to carry book. It is extremely handy to have compared to a textbook! Great Job!

Summary: A little giant
Review: This pocket-sized volume is a perfect jewel for all citizens from grade school on up. I stumbled across it after I lost the first pocket-sized Constitution I was given in high school. Although less than 100 pages from cover to cover, this book contains so much valuable information on the founding of the country, including facts on many of those who guided the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. The book also contains the Decleration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation and key dates and Supreme Court cases that have shaped this country and the Constitution's interpretation.

This book is a keeper for all who cherish our freedom and should be read and re-read as a reminder of why this is a great country and why it prospered in relatively short order.
