Summary: More Hype
Review: More Trump Hype here, "I've got the greatest stuff", "Everything with my name on it is the best," "I've got the number one (fill in the blank)" Don't forget, he's not exactly self-made. He was 'rich' to begin with.

However, I am still a fan, even though it may not sound like it. His advice is his advice, you may not agree, but I enjoy listening to him speak on business topics. If only he'd tone down the bragging so much, this would be a great book. Since his casino bankruptcies and financial woes, he is a shade more humble than before, but you'd need a microscope to see the difference.

I like it best when he gives out his basic principles of the business world instead of ragging on people or things. He has a platform on which to self-promote or educate and sometimes I wish he'd educate more. The book is, I think, better than the previous ones. This is a must-read if you're a die-hard trump fan.

Summary: Your business mentor
Review: If you want to succeed in business (or in any worthy endeavor)this book is the closest most of us will ever get to having Donald Trump as a personal mentor.
Think about it - how could you not want to read what one of the most creative, successful, and influential entrepreneurs of our time has to say about what it takes to WIN BIG?
Written in Trump's trademark straightforward - don't beat around the bush - style, this will be a welcome read for all who want to achieve the best in life.

Summary: Irresistible
Review: There is something irresistible about The Donald. The guy was the subject of much envious glee when he had his troubles in the early 90's. But he fought back, and look at him now. And his show, The Apprentice, is a hoot while being watchable and instructive. My hat's off to the guy. Even though my focus is not money, money, money but meaning, meaning, meaning (see the Book of Ecclesiastes), I just have to say Mr. Trump continues to fascinate me. If you're in business (as I am) the lessons herein will be of value. And if you work for someone else, you can still follow the principles and avoid the dreaded words, "You're fired!"

Summary: For the Apprentice Wealth Builder
Review: Donald Trump has always been able to tell a good story while informing the reader on issues, such as business and wealth from the perspective of a man who has been there. Not all of his suggestions were relevant to me, as I have no ambition to own hotels, casinos, or apartment complexes. However, his aggressive style and take no prisoners approach to negotiating and closing deals is applicable to anyone striving to get ahead in the business world.

Whether your intention is to learn how to make money like Trump, or just to get some insight into his business philosophy, this book is worth reading. Trump shares with the reader his ideas on thinking big, and investing carefully. Much of the material in this book is similar to information I learned from Rich Dad and Robert Allen. But, Trump's attitude towards business is unique and worth learning about. Don't settle for the snippets of Trump's personality and business philosophy you can glean from "The Apprentice," read this book and get the in-depth scoop.

Summary: Mostly fluff and platitudes
Review: So why 3 stars? Because I like Donald. But this book is so fluffy, you should not expect any serious insight on wealth building. Donald opens by telling you not to consider the brevity of the content lightly, and thus miss the "profundity" contained in it. I must have missed it, because the advice on getting rich is such patently obvious jewels such as picking good associates and assistants, learn to present yourself well, promote yourself, etc. And very little nuts and bolts on that. Of course, the best way is to start like Donald did, with a family fortune of $200 million and key connections built in.
I don't know if someone who started his career rich and got richer can offer practical advice to the majority of us who are starting from scratch basically and want to get rich. Those are two very different concepts. Maybe a more appropriate title for this book would have been "How To Get Richer." You won't find what you need in this book to actually accomplish the title it has.

Summary: Trump
Review: Took one day to read this book, each chapter is extremely short (about 3-5 pages each). The title of this book does not reflect its content. It should be called The Basics of Managing a Company. Other advise that is given (eg. On Investing) Trump states "Invest Wisely". He doesn't tell you what to invest in or how to do it. If you want to learn how to get rich, one is better off buying a book by Suze Orman, because this one fails completely. It is clear that this book took advantage of the show The Apprentice because the timing seems right for Trump to get back on top.

Summary: WOW! Another great book from "The Donald"
Review: A great read! Short and to the point chapters make this book and entertaining and educational read. The book doesn't exactly teach you how to get rich as the title conveys, but it does give you some sound advise that will point you in the right direction to make more money and to get grow socially.

Summary: Another good Trump book...
Review: Donald Trump's books are enlightening and fun to read. They do not offer any kind of detailed analysis of real estate investing. Instead they offer a sampling of Mr. Trump's more interesting experiences and opinions. This is valuable because there aren't too many folks who have achieved the level of success that Mr. Trump has and who are also willing to share their insights.

The focus of this book is a series of clear and concise little "lessons" on management and success. Also included are a number of short narratives that illustrate Mr. Trump's points.

Considering some of Mr. Trump's attitudes and values toward business and life may help you emulate, even to a small degree, some of his success. Buy the book and enjoy it.

Summary: Very Unfair To Readers
Review: This book was a major disappointement to me. First, the book is does not have the right title. It does not tell the reader how to get rich. The subtitle works as an advertising slogan to get readers to buy the book, but once into the material all that is there is merely a collection of dumbed down one or two page stories. The first 147 pages state Trump's life lessons, but there was nothing in those pages that was original. Lessons like be persistent and be positive are simple suggestions that many people have said in numerous business books over the years. After page 147 the book just falls apart because it is really just a commerical for Donald Trump and his properties and TV show. Forty pages are devoted to how he spends his week and the rest features pictures of his hotels, staff and the like. Clearly, this was just filler to round out the book, but to ask readers to pay for this is really unfair. The writing overall is weak, but the tone of the book is really offensive. Trump does not try to help anyone, but he tries more to toot his own horn in a self-absorbed way. The book has alot of ego, but very little useful information. Sadly, the entire book is a PR piece designed to promote Trump---not to make the reader rich. It seems the publisher just tossed the book together and that too is not fair to readers.

Summary: A Great Book for Aspiring Trumps
Review: After reading "The Donald's" earlier books, I was excited for this most recent release because it was less focused on self promotion (relatively speaking of course) and instead dedicated on sharing secrets that have made Mr. Trump a real estate icon that can "walk the walk". Much of what is said in the book is common sense and few items will be new territory (a chapter on Mr. Trump's hair is a notable exception). However, Mr. Trump's unapologetic raw ambition flows through this book and inspires those who are truly focused to getting ahead in the world. More importantly, Mr. Trump states early and often in this book that money should never be the chief motivator, and if you look deep enough there are actually some good morals trying to seep out (even a reference to the great Dr. Norman Vincent Peale). Overall, I would strongly recommend this book as supplemental reading to those hooked on The Apprentice, and familiar territory but still worth the read for those familiar with Mr. Trump's earlier publications.
