Rating: Summary: Classic Trump Review: If you've read "The Art of the Deal", you know what to expect from The Donald: A lot of bragging and egomaniacal attitude. But at the same time, reading "How to Get Rich" is like listening to a good salesmen. You may not believe everything he is saying, but it sure is fun to listen to. This book had some overlap from "The Art of the Deal" but the tips are all good - and very general. You are not going to find the inner-workings of financing a real estate endeavor. Nonetheless, if you're a fan of "The Apprentice" and the The Donald's past work, you'll enjoy this quick read.
Rating: Summary: How to Get Rich Review: The Donald had what a lot of people didn't have to start a business and thats money. It takes money to make money and the the Donald had a good start up front. But the world is a copy cat world and you do what you can see others doing that are making money. Even the Donald could see the draw the new TV shows were making and the money they were pulling in like the show "The Survivors" and others that now enter our living room one after the other. Now Donalds show the Apprentice making money again because of copying what others are doing making money. This is the reason that following Donalds book and doing what The Donald has done will make you money. Using the same idea's that he has in making money only makes since. A must read if you really want to make money.(...)
Rating: Summary: Talking from the hip Review: This is the kind of book and role model we need in today's world of growing collectivism. Mr. Trump has the credibility that is missing from so many wanna-be's out there. His lifestyle of integrity, sincerity and creativity backs up his philosophy and practical genius. His lassaiz faire capitalistic approach and strong ego brings a balance to a world where business-bashing and self-righteous altruism is a greater threat to our freedom than ever before. Mr. Trump reminds us of the American Dream and the value of Capitalism and truly free market. The examples and lessons in this book are upbuilding and motivating. A great read!
Rating: Summary: Quick Read -- Reflects "The Donald's" Style and Preferences Review: Most readers can zip through this book in a couple hours. Trump does a good job of letting the reader know how he operates in both his business and personal worlds. Lots of good insights, and probably a good companion piece for people who are big into the Apprentice. He's a busy guy, and leaves no room for B.S. or ineptitude. Not really a surprise. The book includes several excerpts related to Mr. Trump's personal and social life, including his children. My favorite section is the several-page "week in the life of Donald" diary in which he records a half-hour by half-hour accounting of a typical week. It shows that a key to success is very hard work, being tough and direct, and connecting extensively with the outside world (lots of discussions of phone calls and meetings). There's also a few pages at the tail end of the book talking about the current Apprentice participants. You can find the same stuff on the web, and he does mention his show frequently throughout the book, but it is actually much less of an advertisement than I expected. All in all, you will learn something from this book that will point/reorient you in the right direction, even if your style is not the same as Trump's.
Rating: Summary: YOU'RE FIRED! (I'M KIDDING--GREAT BOOK) Review: Sorry for the "You're fired!" line--I couldn't help it. I gotta admit I'm a big fan of the Donald--I like how he has big brass ones....I like how he has heart....I like how he wants to be associated with the very best. I find it interesting how the other reviewers have been remiss about mentioning anything about the title--i.e. The Donald is of course referring to getting rich as in money, but also how to get rich as in becoming a fully actualized human being.... Finally, thank you for writing this book Donald--I have no doubt this book will top your "Art of the Deal" book in sales!
Rating: Summary: The Donald Review: Although I don't subscribe to his brass knuckle tactics, the guy has pizazz and positivity and a giant ego. Pretty refreshing in this milk and cookies world. Waitng for a Trump for Dummies to come on the scene.
Rating: Summary: GREEEATTT Review: It was a great book. A really quick read. Not so much on how to get rich per say, just how he got rich and everything he did. The inside the Apprentice part was great. Everything except for a few errors gramatically was wonderfull. A must read!!!!
Rating: Summary: Trump knows... Review: I think it is obvious Trump knows his stuff. The good news is he shares it with us the readers. This book is a great book for anyone who wants to get rich. A good supplement for this book would be the job hunting book, "How to find your dream job and make it a reality" by Jason McClure. Let's face it until you make it big, like Trump you will need a good paying job, and this book will help. I do believe you owe it to yourself to invest in Trump's new book. I think it is great just like the rest of his books, and I have read them all.
Rating: Summary: Not that complicated Review: Want to know how to get rich? Start with millions in capital and invest in real estate. It's fool proof
Rating: Summary: Learn from the master Review: If you are going to read one book about success, (business or otherwise) make it this one. Learn from a man that's a doer not just a talker. Written in a very straight-forward style, you can't miss the lessons that Donald Trump has laid out in his newest book. A very satisfying read.
