Summary: Stay away from this review book!
Review: I persoanlly did well but that was because of my interest in biology. I dont reccommend this book to anyone who is NOT interested and biology and did NOT have a strong background in it. This book is excellent for a mere review and got me a good score, but if you want to actually learn the material, you're better off using any book. This also lacks practice. for those seeking good score but does not meet the criteria above, get the princeton to read and barron to practice. if you go to the same school as me, i reccomend you dont get this as well, since we did not have the best teachers (unless if you're lucky). Getthis only if you're interested deeply in bio. trust me.

Summary: As a high school freshman.
Review: I took this test in June of my freshman year, and with the help of this book and a lot of dedication, I got a 770 on my SAT 2 Biology test. The review book does an excellent job of laying all the necessary facts out and divides the information into appropriate sections. However, it does assume that you have already mastered a basic high school biology course, and it is only there for REVIEW and recalling facts.I would recommend the book to all the students who will actually put in the time and effort to study. Shelling out ten or twenty dollars for this review book won't accomplish anything.

Review: I used this book (if only for 2 days!) and got a 740 in June '03. The 2 practice tests were good, although some of the other content was boring. I didn't find any errors, and thought that the practice tests were harder than the actual thing

Summary: SOLID HELP
Review: I used this book along with the Cliffs AP Biology review book. They worked great together. KAPLAN's book reads like a textbook but is good to read twice. Cliffs is excellent inside-out as far as information coverage. Read that for a foundation. Concentrate before you read and you will do just fine. I did- I got a 790 and just read these two books for 2 weeks. The test might have a few wierd questions but don't get afraid, SAT 2s are scored very leniently. You will do fine.

Summary: Excellent book
Review: This book served to help me with the exam. Important topics liked ecology and cells are explained that is nice to learn from. I also used Cliff's Biology by Philip Pack which is also a good reference--easy reading. However, if you want great test preparation questions get the following which helped also---
The Ultimate Study Guide for Biology: Key Review Questions and Answers with Explanations

These study guides were very thorough for going over the important topics encountered. Kaplan SAT II: is also very good for building the core knowledge in biology that one needs to know for test.
