Summary: More Difficult to Understand than a Regular Textbook
Review: This AP Guide was way too complex. I think that if you really wanted to get a 5 on the AP exam, listen to your teacher in class and take notes. This is definitely not for those people who think that they can study for the AP in one week.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Avoid At All Costs
Review: This AP review book is a waste of money...I've taken the two diagnostic tests offered in the book and on several occasions, I have found the asnwer given in the book to be different from the actual answer. Some questions contain the correct numerical answer but the incorrect choice (A,B,C,D or E). Many of the questions are downright ridiculous...they wouldnt be on the AP exam because they are either too easy or too obscure. My teacher made copies (of certain sections) of The Princeton Review book, which I believe to be much better than the Barron's edition.

Summary: The Best
Review: This book is the best. Plain and simple.

If you read it through TWICE you will get a 5 on the AP exam. That's all you need to do. No other book even comes close, although I did like the Princeton Review book for their practice test.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: It is very informative!!
Review: This is a very good book. It has A LOT of information and in-depth. The questions can be kind of confusing sometimes, but the content is great!! Let me give you an advice though: do not wait until the last minute to read this book because it has A LOT of information and you need to read it patiently to understand it.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: good review book but don't plan on finishing it in a week
Review: to whoever said that this book is too basic: this book is waaay better than other ap chem review books (i have a couple). my teacher doesn't even recommend this book because he says there is too much information in it. i thought this book was more clear than my textbook in explaining most of the concepts, and, there *are* free response questions in the practice ap test section. the multiple choice questions are well written as well, like most of the other barron books.

Summary: WONDERFUL BOOK! By a not-so-science high school senior
Review: Well, I was very stressed out about the AP chemistry Test . Barrons AP World history book had prepared me very well last year so i decided to take a chance. Not only did the book prepare me psychologically, but it also actualyl taught me the material that sometimes got left out of the course. It paid attention to details and did provide me with a great sense of confidence in the material. The diagnostic and practice tests were in fact harder than the actual ap test, but encourage me to keep on studying and know the material. i believe that Barron's provides tests that are harder than the AP test to provide raise your goals high so you can totally do amazing on the AP test. The book had everything that I could possibly ever know and i still use it as a reference guide today. it is very useful. I only wish i had boughtit sooner to aid me along in my chemistry class throughout the year.

Summary: Like another textbook
Review: You can't use this to study for the AP test, but rather to learn everything during the year. Its another text book.
