Summary: Excellent! Funny + Honest
Review: Now THIS is a really great little college book. It's literally filled with extremely useful advice from the first page to the last, all from the lips of college students who "learned" from their mistakes. Very fast and entertaining read as well, definitely an excellent buy for anybody about to enter college.

Just an extra note, this 505 tips for making college easier is similiar to the title "101 Things College girl should know" and "101 Things College guy should know."...this is a MUCH better buy for your money. The latter 2 books are the most useless excuses for books I've found...with tips like drink 8 glasses of water a day and...similiar common sense. Buy "505" instead, you'll be glad.

Summary: Great book, must read for anyone going to college
Review: This book gives both sides of the story, it never says to do something or not to do something. All it has is advice and stories from other students who have been there, it still gives you the chance to try it on your own. After my first year of school this book really was great, its a must have for any college student or student to be.

Summary: Fantastic Book!
Review: This book has more common sense, solid advice, and information than most college guides. A freshman would be well served keeping this book in his/her back pocket.

I would also like to recommend, College 101: The Book Your College Does Not Want To Read (ISBN 0966412206). Although College 101 has a smart-ass sensibility to it, it does complete the information this book presents.

Praise must be given to Suzette Tyler. She has written a first rate book!

Summary: Just as helpful as the first volume!
Review: This book is a perfect little graduation gift for almost everyone on your list. I've been buying several copies of vol. I every June for the past few years, so I'm delighted to see "more tips." It's short & snappy, contemporary, but I also found myself saying, "Oh, yes, I'd forgotten about that! Some things about college never change!" (Even tho' it's been a generation plus since my graduation.)

Summary: Excellent Book
Review: This book is great. I enjoyed reading it, and found it very interesting. I was thinking a good complement to this book would be, "How to find your dream job and make it a reality: solutions for a rewarding and meaningful career" by Jason McClure. If there I one thing I would have done different in college, it would be preparing for the job search afterwards.
Order both books and make the most of college career. Good luck...
