Summary: A great book
Review: Anyone who took the AP in biology should just look at this book a couple days before. I took the AP and then two days before I read the entire book. The book is very thorough and goes through every possible topic. After reading this book I got a 790 on the satII. If your a freshman and are planning to take the AP in your juniour year I would highly suggest that you wait until you take the AP since most freshman bio classes are insufficient for the satII, especially freshman in NY since the idiots in Albany made a stupid living environment course. However if you study hard from this book and your a good bio student you probably will be able to pull off a 700. I would also suggest to take the molecular. Its actually quite easy especially for AP students. The ecology part is more like interpeting pictures which is hard to study. Also dont waste your time on any other book. This is all you need.

Summary: Good Tips
Review: I got this one in preparation for the SAT II. It's really good, and you don't need a lot of time to read it. Most of the stuff is short, only putting the things you need to know. Great study guide

Summary: A Great Guide to the SAT II Biology E/M
Review: Kaplan SAT II Biology E/M (2003-2004) is excellent preparation for the SAT II test. This book, coupled with my Cliff's AP Biology (2nd Edition) helped me score a 770 on the SAT II M test. Every test topic is covered in this book, and it thoroughly prepares you for the SAT II test with three full-length practice tests (one diagnostic, one M-option, and one E-option) and a great glossary for vocabulary review. Similar books, such as the Princeton Review (2003-2004) or Barron's (13th Edition) do not provide a realistic preparation for the SAT II test--Princeton Review provides too little information to score well, and Barron's has numerous typos and a large amount of extraneous information. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in scoring well on the SAT II test.

Summary: More info than most textbooks
Review: People say this book has too much needless information. Would you rather have a book with too little? Hey look at it like this- you're covered for the test and you come away with a little extra knowledge that will stay with you for your life. Is that so bad? If it is that bad then you should quit school. By far I thought this was the best bio prep book I bought.

Summary: Biology is cool!
Review: The test is freakin hard, but the book helps if you use it.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: if you are considereing buying this book
Review: to be honest, unless you like to study a lot and memorize the book (perhaps will make you feel safer?), you probably shouldn't buy this book. too much information unless you want to get above a 750. basically the diagnostic tests are okay, not very accurate, but it helps you to learn. my advice is buy this book if you are a good biology student.
