Rating: Summary: Corrected printing: April 2004 Review: SIAM has published a second printing with all known errors (of the first edition) corrected.
Rating: Summary: An Excellent Textbook Review: This book is by far the best in presenting this material. What has impressed me so far is that although the book is user-friendly and simply/clearly written to attract even non-advanced readers, there was nothing until now that I needed and I could not find in this book. It is an excellent book that satisfies both basic-level readers and advanced Linear Algebra researchers (at least in the engineering field), a combination that in general is very difficult to achieve.
Rating: Summary: Cumple el objetivo que se propone Review: This book is not just another Linear Algebra book. It's a must for students, teachers, and researchers, both in mathematics and engineering fields. Unlike most of the linear algebra text books or reference style books, this book is enjoyable to read and easy to use as a quick reference. The author's explanations are easy to follow and don't leave any confusion. Even advanced mathematicians would often think "What's why...! I didn't know that." Examples are excellent and can be actually used for real applications. Exercises are more than exercises. They are more like extra sections for advanced and more interested readers. You won't just use it and put back on your bookshelf - you would want to have it on your desk, near where you can reach any time!

Rating: Summary: Really the best for learning algebra from start with rigor Review: This book is really a treasure. Meyer introduces the field of linear algebra progressively, with many historical references. The book have rigor, but stills easy to read. The book is very comprehensive too, covering from gaussian elimination to Perron-Frobenius theory and teachs thoroughly the eigenvector/eigenvalue theory. Its a must have.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Book Review: This is an excellent book. Very strongly recommended. It provides a good understanding of both computational and conceptual aspects of Linear algebra.
