Rating: Summary: very helpful Review: this is a very helpful guide into the world of anatomy....i am not good at any kind of science at all so this was really helpful. I am a hands on type of person when it comes to learning, so this book was a great learning tool!
Rating: Summary: An excellent tool for visual learners Review: This is a workbook I'd reccomend for any student of Anatomy. I make a point to get a new copy every three to four years and color through it just to review and stay fresh. I am studying massage Therapy now, and first used this book six years ago when I was thinking about going into massage therapy or physical therapy since I knew I would need this(if you're wondering why the long length of time, just getting money together for school). The knowlegde of the muscles, thier attachemnts, origins, and actions have stayed fresh in my mind for years so that going through A&P was much easier for me than for my classmates. While the bones and muscles were my main interest, I aquired a good working knowledge of the rest of the body from this book along with my textbooks. This book is great for anyone even thinking of a medical profession, or artists needing a better understanding of how the body is put together. I have known a few people this book didn't help, but this was because they were not visual learners, but this is great for anyone who learns visually.
Rating: Summary: An anatomy book that is well put together! Review: This is just a way great for someone to learn their basic anatomy. Arranged by systems (such as respiratory system, cardiovascular system, etc.) all you have to do is a little bit of reading and then color away to a good understanding of human anatomy. Very educational, it's one good way to make an otherwise boring topic a lot of fun. Other self-help books I like include "The No-Beach, No-Zone, No-Nonsense Weight Loss Plan, A Pocket Guide to What Works."
Rating: Summary: Anatomy Coloring Book Review: This is the most affordable book on the human body. It focuses individually on each organ system, with many enhancements from previous edition. This book is a MUST for med students, and would make a great reference book for children. I suggest students take their time applying colored pencils and patience to make his an interesting exercise. To often I see students rush into this exercise with permanent markers and complain about the school like exercises. softcover, 168 pps, 215 x 277 mm. Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: This was a wonderful investment. I only wish that the Neuroanatomy class was taught with Anatomy Coloring as the primary book. Following each section from begining to end allowed me to learn the material beyond what the prof presented in lecture. Coloring the diagrams encouraged me to memorize the material. I did far better on quizes and exams after I started using this book.
Rating: Summary: a great learning tool Review: When this book is first assigned, you may be skeptical about its effectiveness as a learning tool. For me, it is similar to writing a grocery list - if you leave it at home, odds are you can remember a lot on the list, just because you went through the exercise of writing it down. There is tremendous value to repeating, for example, the name of a particular bone, while you color. It's a terrific memory exercise. Fear not! Dive in!
