Summary: First Offense
Review: After my license was revoked in three states because I had too many points on my record. In each instance I was ticketed, I was unfairly and unjustly charged. For example, last March I was sipping my Starbuck latte and reading the Wall Street Journal. Upon discovering three editorial mistakes on the fifth page, I spilled my latte in digust. As I tried vainly tried to protect my car upholstery from the steaming Starbucks brew, I ran a red light. Unfortunatly my path had been crossed by an undercover officer of the law. When he pulled me over, I tried to rationally explain the extenuating circumstances concerning my transportation fiasco. Unfortunatly Officer Chuck Gunner remained unconvinced of my innocence and I became another victim of police brutality when he asked for my license and registration just to issue another generic ticket.

I decided to turn to the world of literature to help me better understand the world and emotion that is instilled in the the all-important job of a traffic cop who "works the beat". I figured that through empathy with these civil servants, I would be able to more efficiently communicate with the next officer who stops me, hopefully helping them see my innocence in motor matters.

During those times I felt desperation and frustration towards today's current judcial system, I often found the words of poet David Lehman to be particularly uplifting:
"I'm sorry, officer. I didn't see the sign
Because, in fact, there wasn't any. I tell you
The light was green. How much is the fine?"

However, by reading Mr. Wallace's eye-opening work, I realized that my techniques were old-fashioned and unsuccessful. Mr. Wallace suggests cutting edge innovations in the field of officer/civilian communication.

This book is a must for anyone with a car, a truck, or a Huffy.

Summary: WOW! Great Stuff!!!
Review: All I can say is WOW!!!...what a book. I am a criminal defense attorney in CT. I thought I knew alot about Radar and all the other speeding detections gadgets the police use, but after reading this book, I learned I knew so little. I now know alot more and have learned many other ways to challenge speeding tickets in CT. I never knew that the police needed an FCC license to operate police Radar, but they in fact do. Based on a tip by Mr. Wallace, and in assisting a client nabbed for speeding in CT. I requested a copy of the Ct. State Police FCC license, and to my surprise, I learned it had expired. Imagine to my surprise, and to the surprise of the court. I made an immediate motion to dismiss this case, based on the Ct. State Police having an expired FCC license, thus, making their use of police radar inlawful, my clients case was immediately dismissed. Again, WOW, what a great tip. You out there who get speeding tickets, this is one tip you should NOT overlook. Thanks Amazon for carrying this book. It sure will help my clients. One of the best and easiest reading books also. Very helpful and full of helpful information. Well worth the $19.95. Great Job Mr. Wallace, and Thanks!!!
Attorney from CT.

Summary: information so helpful the price is too low
Review: As a personal friend of the author, of course people are going to think that I am going to say whatever it takes to make the book sound good. But instead i am going to tell you that with the information i have recieved from this book i have saved myself from uncountable ticets and possibally my liscence. Richard unleashes 100% TRUE AND WORKING FACTS on how to keep from giving your hard earned dollars to the courts. I encourage anyone who speeds on a regular basis to get this book. It will pay for itself 5 times over compared to one ticket that you will never have to pay!

Summary: This Book Really Educated Me.
Review: I am a 60 year old man who has never had a speeding ticket, and recently got one in Manchester, New Jersey. The officer lied, was rude and I was not speeding, so I decided to fight the ticket in court. The officer also wrote me up for Weaving in a Marked Lane and Having an obstructed rear window, I had a small box in the back of my 83 Buick. Talk about bogus charges. I followed the book all the way through and had every charge thrown out in court. I called Richard Wallace and he called me back and talked and gave me advice for over 45 minutes on a sunday night. He was most polite and helpful. I cant thank him and the book enough. It was very useful in my opinion, and it worked. Worth buying!

Summary: MAKES A GREAT GIFT FOR HIM AND THE KIDS!
Review: I am a mom who has 2 teenage sons and a husband who loves cars. He is also a salesman and is always on the road. He has gotten his fair share of tickets. His last ticket was in October of 2003. With my help, (I bought the Educated Guide for him) we fought back here in California and won in court. We proved to the judge that the area where my husband got his ticket was not properly posted. Mr. Wallace suggests checking the road where the ticket was issued to see if there are speed limit signs every 500 feet or so. In our case, the nearest sign was over 2 miles away. The judge felt that was a reasonable arguement and we had the case thrown out! Thanks for the great book and it makes the perfect book for the man in your life or if you have kids who drive or about to drive and need to learn how to avoid getting a speeding ticket in the first place. I highly recommend this book to everybody. It was WELL worth the $20.00 I paid for it. Our ticket was $275 and we had it thrown out!

Summary: informative
Review: I am also a police officer and I reccomend this book to experienced drivers who are aware of their surroundings. If you are in a residential area DONT SPEED! If not, we all should be able to go much faster than posted speed limits. this book lets you do that. I am tired of writing tickets to people that are driving aware and I am forced to get my quota.

Summary: LOOPHOLES REALLY DO EXIST!!!
Review: I got a speeding ticket in Connecticut and the State Trooper was using laser. Following the advice given in the Educated Guide, I plead not guilty and went to court. I showed the judge a copy of the state law that pertained to calibration of laser and radar. In Connecticut the police have to calibrate laser or radar by any means other than an internal check of the operation of the equipment. NOTHING exists to do this with laser as of yet. It is ALL done internally. The judge read the law, talked to the Trooper, and dismissed the ticket. The fine was for $260.00!! There really are loopholes that do work. This book helped me. I recommend it.

Summary: Awesome Book...Best of Them All Out There...!
Review: I have gotten 2 speeding tickets in the state of Connecticut. I have successfully used the Educated Guide to Speeding Tickets, How to Beat & Avoid them by Richard Wallace both times and have beaten both speeding tickets! I have purchased and read 3 other books on how to beat tickets. All are similiar in nature to the Educated Guide, but none were written by an ex state trooper. He really tells it like it is... He is honest, tells us why he wrote the book...because of the greed of the speeding ticket system. I just believe the author to be more sincere and he reveals more than the other books. This book DEFINITELY works. Plus, the author has a website, he tells you all about the National Motorists Assocation, which is an organization that helps you by providing info on how to beat tickets. He even has a toll free number for you to call and he returned my phone call and gave me advice on how to beat my second speeding ticket. This book is worth buying over all the rest BECAUSE of these reasons. Good luck to you all and buy this book before you buy the others.

Summary: Simply The BEST Book I Have Read!
Review: I have read them all, every book on beating speeding tickets, including the one a reader here recommends entitled Beat Your Ticket-Go To Court And Win, and I can only say the best book I have read so far is the one by Richard Wallace called An Educated Guide to Speeding Tickets, How To Beat and Avoid Them. His book reads the easiest, its not full of legal mumbo jumbo, just plain facts, easy enough to understand and follow so that anybody can fight a speeding ticket in his or her own state.

Based on the reviews I see here on Amazon, his book seems to work well. And who ever heard of an author personally returning every phone call from a reader? Dont be fooled by other books who claim to be the best, I bought this one, read it, loved it and approve of it overall above all others.I learned SO much from this book like for example, offer to make charitable donations to the court in lieu of a fine, nobody in ANY other book tells you that. This is the one, simply put. Get it if you need to fight a speeding ticket. Seeya...and thanks Amazon.
