Rating: Summary: Vital book for school change and responsiveness to change Review: This book is essential for anyone seriously considering a role of leadership in schools or districts. In the book, the reader learns about excellent and practical science to make schools a better place. There is not a topic that isn't covered. All of the practical issues are present. Yes, the book uses the language of very good behavioral sciences, and that is appropriate. With all the headline things that have happened in the world with schools, its important that major leaders in schools have good grounding in practical science of behavior change. What's really neat about the book is that almost everything in its is doable. You can make it happen. In my own landmark research on youth violence, I could not have done it without standing on the shoulders of giants like Beth Sulzer-Azaroff and G.Roy Mayer. Every future teacher or administrator has to have studied this book.
