Summary: BRS Gross Anatomy
Review: The gross anatomy board review series is quite helpful for those who struggle with gross anatomy. With the large amount of information that medical students are required to learn during their first year, this book helps to guide the student along. Although the organization of the text was something I found a little difficult to adapt to(sections are organized by systems rather than by relationship), I still found the book to be immensely helpful in reviewing for tests. As a SUPPLEMENTAL text, it does the job quite nicely and would be worth buying for sure.

Summary: Only just another anatomy text
Review: This book certainly does not deserve the positive comments it has, true it is a small book compared to other anatomy texts, but it also lacks alot of the important details and fine points that are regarded as been essential to a medical course in anatomy. It has terribly few diagrams and even those which are there are of little value since they're too small, and don't often enough tell you the important points. It's an OK book, just like any other text on the market with nothing special to it. And it may be suitable and highly regarded only to those studying at the institutuion the author teaches at.

Summary: Not good, not bad
Review: This book had so many rave reviews that I had to buy it. However it appears to be US centric and geared towards the USMLE not gross anatomy. It is incredibly brief and does not contain the depth of anatomical detail that is needed to pass British or Australian medical school exams. Aside from the lack of sufficient detail the diagrams are just average. There are a number of other textbooks that are better, for a book of approximate size I recommend Last's Anatomy, which is exceptional. In my opinion this is not a bad text, but it's not that great either.

Summary: If you cant stand looking at an informative picture, buy it!
Review: This book is cerainly a disgrace for BRS in general. Unlike the beautiful Biochemistry and Physiology BRS, this Anatomy book is really a disaster at least reputation wise for the BRS. Yu don't believe me, just buy it and you will NOT want to study from it. The most crucial thing in Anatomy is a good diagram, but there are few diagrams and they are horrible anyways!

Summary: Chung Rocks!!!!!
Review: This book is excellent and should be bought for intro Gross Anatomy. I attend Dr. Chung's lectures at the University of Oklahoma and his book is representative of his superb anatomical ability. Buy it, live it, breathe it and smoke gross anatomy.

Review: This is an amazing book. It's easy to understand and contains nothing but relevant information. Wonderful for the USMLE. This book is considered "the Bible" for many medical students.

Summary: Very Helpful!
Review: Very helpful! Great for reviewing, studying or preparing for a class or exam. Muscle reviews are excellent, althought I found that chapter 5 (abdominal region)was not very organized and lacked some important details.
