Review: Author Mariam MacGregor has laid this book out great for anyone wanting to start a youth leadership program. The material isn't new -- but the format is easy to read. I've worked with high school leadership groups for more than 12 years and this book reconfirmed some of my ideas about leadership. A couple of new activities about youth ethics were found as well. One of the best parts of this book is that it walks you through setting up a program. This is a GOOD BUY. Well worth the money.

Review: I recommend "DSLP" extremely highly to any and all adults working with teens in a leadership context. I teach in a leadership development program for high school students. MacGregor includes here many activities, schema, and resources that are eminently useful to me and my faculty colleagues, as well as the apprenticing student leaders we work with. This volume is practical, current, and very user-friendly. I thus give it my most enthusiastic endorsement. Treat yourself to this invaluable asset!
