Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Concise and to the point
Review: A good ,comprehensive book for step-2 preparation may not cover all the topics but since Internal Medicine is so vast a topic only a book like Harrison can do justice. But then who has time to read Harrison? This is the next best alternative

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Blueprints in Medicine
Review: I found this book to be completely useless for Step 3. The book lacks the details needed for the exam. Subjects such as neurology, hematology and oncology are covered poorly. This book in no way should be your only source.

Summary: Helpful resource for students creating case histories.
Review: If you're a librarian serving first year med students who need to create case histories for hypothetical patients, you'll love this book. Blueprints in Medicine contains the information the students need, usually at a level they can comprehend (with the aid of a dictionary), and contains very little "excess" information.

Summary: Not bad, but not the final word, either
Review: seriously, its a nice read....but it totally lacks the detail you need for the step 2
i found it off the point totally. after reading it twice, i thought "i know nothing".....and that was probably true. i aced the step 2, but thats not cos of this book. it may be a great book for whatever purpose......but not for the step 2 exam. try adam brochert's secrets or crush series. they are like 100 times better. i mean it. trust me on this one.
if you are looking for blue prints books for the step 2....i highly recommend the OBGYN and pediatrics ones.

Summary: blueprints in medicine (blue prints series)
Review: The best thing i liked about this book is its clear, concise presentation of a complex subject. It is an excellent review book with outstanding presentation.what it is not is - it is'nt a comprehensive book for medicine but it covers all the common and high yield topics in internal medicine.Deals on the basis of symptomatology and diseases, a problem oriented approach which is very useful for usmle step2 and 3. The discussions deal with the disease, the clinical presentation, differential diagnosis and the diagnostic evaluation and treatment, all this in a very readable 3-4 pages with a summary of the keypoints at the end.The diagnostic evaluation and treatment part is very thorough.A must for anyone preparing for usmle step2 and 3. I highly recommend this book.
