Greenfield's Neuropathology Illustrated (CD-ROM)

Summary: Excellent resource with a catch
Review: I am a neurology resident and purchased the CD-ROM since the 2-volume set is very expensive and too much to carry around. I was excited to receive the CD-ROM only to find out that the software REQUIRES an older version of Apple Quicktime than is on my 3 computers. I tried to rollback the drivers to no avail. This information is not clearly spelled out until you check out the company website and there they tell you it only works with a certain version of Apple Quicktime. I understand that a new edition will be published later this year.

I have used the software before at our residency program until it "disappeared." It is an excellent resource to reference and study from. A condensed version of this reference for the in-service exam would be a welcome addition to the available study aids.

I give it only 3 stars for all the hassles trying to install the software and use it after shelling out a great deal of money. Check your software/hardware configuration closely BEFORE you purchase as it is not possible to return once opened.
