Review: I bought this book after looking a few articles by Masud in Optics and Photonics News. Very well written, and low on mathematics, masud succeeds in telling his story with the aid of examples and pictures. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in optics and wants to get a broad overview of many concepts which are relevant to this field. You won't find a better introduction than this book.
