Review: I felt this text was filled with useful information, and was well organized. I did, however, sometimes have a problem with the length of the chapters, and my ability to focus on the reading. I generally needed to read and reread the information presented.

Review: This is not the kind of book you'll want to read from cover to cover in front of the fireplace. It is, however, a good college textbook which breaks down the process of designing and implementing curricular improvements. I am happy to have it on my bookshelf and I'm sure I will refer to it in the future.

The information is applicable to current educational settings and the author provides numerous situational problems, thus allowing the reader to apply concepts throughout the text. Although this text provides useful information, the format of the text is not particularly reader friendly. The length of the chapters and lack of related illustrations made it difficult for this reader to maintain an appropriate attention span.

I benefited from the use of the Doll text for the NGE level curriculum class at Nova Southeastern University. The chapters proceed to be a bit extensive; the information that was contained within the text was well delivered. The information is corresponding to 21st century curriculum concerns that are nationwide. Decision making and processing are important parts of today's society and is addressed skillfully.

Doll does an exceptional job with this text and gives graduate students a foundation to grow on.

Review: Although the reading sometimes seemed long, it was filled with very useful information. Doll seemed to provide a variety of views on his topics, not just expressing his opinion. Each chapter ended with a brief summary and endnotes. The endnotes provided additional reading resources and confirmed he had meticulously researched his book's topics. Each chapter contained an assortment of activities that would make great on-line chat discussions.
