Summary: A comprehensive guide for DNA microarray analysis
Review: A comprehensive guide for DNA microarray analysis presented in an easy to read and understand form. This book is a very helpful learning tool for students and beginners in the field, as well as a convenient and useful manual for a routine microarray analysis lab. As a core facility manager I will strongly recommend it for colleagues who use the microarray core facility services. Chapters on some new technologies are of interest to all working in this field."

Summary: An authoritative guide to microarray technology
Review: An easily accessible and authoritative guide to microarray technologies, for the student and the laboratory manager alike. With focus on spotted cDNA and protein arrays, it deals adequately not only with the chip and its hybridization targets, but also with the related issues such as laboratory automation and data analysis. The scope ranges from definitions to providing instructions on evaluating a scanner, and comprehensive application examples from fields as diverse as agricultural studies as well as more conventional pharmacology. Dr. Hardiman is a manager of a microarray core facility; this is a book packed with protocols and tips. A must have for researchers using microarray technology - advenced and beginners.
