Summary: Qualities of a Lasting Book
Review: When one looks back at the past from our current perspective, one may laugh or even scoff at the ignorance at the time, everything shaded by fads and hyped perceptions. That's how we feel when we look back 100 years from today. Why should we think we are any more foolproof than before.

There are many accurate comments in this book. But that doesn't make them timeless. In fact most of them are fleeting fancy, sometimes shallow nonsense, perpetuating even more silliness upon an already dumbed-down, desensitized, consumer public.

Oh yes, the lemmings will follow. The reporters will demonstrate their non-originality in search of a deadline - with more spin, more factual error, and no journalistic standards. The stories in the daily papers will be one more politically correct view by one more scared reported just trying to pay a mortgage on a house that is bigger than she and her soulmate need.

A greenie will pray at another stack of dead trees in the form of newsprint. The CEO's will parade their endless stream of VC financed me-too products, like clones generated from a software program, while everthing we buy and sell will be made by Chinese people who just want a latte with their hamburger.

Oh yes, it's all there. Only the soul is missing.

Summary: FULL FRONTAL PUBLICITY!
Review: Working as a copywriter for an advertising firm, I often find myself
cocooned in the ad bubble and find that the ads somehow become distanced
from the actual product and messaging. Reading Full Frontal gave me a
much needed reminder of what actually shifts products: buzz.
The authors explain PR simply and as it is, without complicating and
mystifying the subject. In other words, they practice as they preach!

If you are in any way involved in any marketing, sales or communication:
read this book!
