Summary: Four Books In One!
Review: I am writing to recommend Water Distribution Modeling by Haestad Methods, et al to anyone interested in water distribution modeling or general hydraulics. The book is written clearly and combines useful illustrations with interesting problems. It is a good way for practising engineers to "brush up" on hydraulic theory and an easy book to read. With this one book I can replace the 4 other I had to flick through before.

Summary: good book for the office library
Review: This book has proven a valuable tool for our office as it is easily read, and can help both the novice and experienced designers in the office. Too often books deal with theory exclusively, or neglect theory to emphasize practice. This book merges the two very nicely. It is the most useful book on water distribution systems in our office.

Summary: Water Distribution Modeling
Review: This textbook is a needed addition to an engineer or students reference material. Written by experts in the water distribution field this book provides straightforward information on the modeling process.

Summary: A Distinctive Reference
Review: The book is an excellent reference for students, engineers and professors since it combines the theoretical and practical aspects of designing a water distribution network. It saves you the time of searching through the different literature references since it covers all aspects related to network modelling. It explains in detail the different aspects of modelling theory, types of demand, network components, network hydraulics, type of pumps, network operation management, and offering solutions to various network problems, all supported by practical examples along on a valuable CD.
The fact that it covers designing, operating and maintaining a water distribution network makes it my preferred reference.

Summary: Review of "Water Distribution Modeling" by Haestad Methods
Review: A great reference book, covers all the basics of Water Distribution Modeling. Many good example problems. Also, a prime benefit being, the additional CEU's you get toward Continuing Education, if you complete and send in the attached Quiz.

Summary: Thank You Haestad!
Review: This reference is a must have for your engineering library. The text is structured to include both theory and modelling applications for water system designers. I found it to be a valuable resourse for my modelling projects.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Water Distribution Modeling: una excelente guía
Review: El texto así como el software representan una excelente guía de introducción al mundo del diseño y análisis hidráulico. Ojalá en las universidades tubieran oportunidad de contar con material de esta calidad.

Summary: Super Book
Review: I have found this book to be invaluble. We constantly refer to it on almost a daily basis. I highly recommend it to anyone working in water modeling.

Summary: Great reference book for all water system topics!
Review: This book has served as an excellent reference tool for water distribution system design for me over the past year. It is a great summary of water system terminology and hydraulic theory. The index allows the reader to easily reference any water system topic immaginable in clear, basic terms. Topics have proven to be very practical and applicable to current water system design issues. The many pictures, illustrations and figures have also been helpful in conveying concepts.

Summary: "the complete modelers handbook"
Review: This book includes all that is currently known regarding the practice of modeling water distribution systems. I have shown this book to experienced engineers (grayhairs) that have studied water systems over many years. They say that it includes the knowledge of the past combined with newer techniques and practice. I myself have performed modeling and system analysis starting with KY-pipe programs in 1990 and Cybernet in 1993. I have been very active since that time performing every type and size analysis that my firm requires from small commercial sites to large municipal system studies. This book is a comprehensive guide to modeling, and is a "must have" for reference purposes as well as a guide for a newcomer or student that is new to this specialty of civil engineering.
