Summary: An admirable compilation of water system design inform
Review: Now that I have this book in my library, I can easily eliminate several college course books and other sources of water system design information because this book has all of the necessary information for a college student as well as a practicing engineer. The work that I do on a daily basis does not involve a lot of water system design requirements, however, there are times that I need to generate some calculations proving that the system I am designing will meet a particular communities standards. This book has been very useful in giving me a refresher course in hydraulics as well as the included software being a valuable tool.

Summary: Water Distribution Modeling
Review: Outstanding resource, every engineer that models water distribution should own a copy of this book. I also feel that this should be a required manual for all engineering students. We are currently ordering several more copies for our firm.

Summary: Water Distribution Modeling
Review: I found the book to be very easy to use. The information is laid out in a format that is easy to follow. The book provides an adequate amount of detail on the WaterCAD tools I needed to use the software. There were a few areas which I would like to see a little more detailed information.

Summary: Excellent Resource
Review: This textbook serves as an excellent resource for water system modeling. It goes through everything from model theory, to model development, then tells you how to use it. Includes important sections on testing and calibrating, which are sometimes not given the proper attention while developing models. Also includes many examples. HM did a great job in putting all this information in one place! Thanks!

Summary: Water Distribution Modeling
Review: This book is a great "handbook" for water modeling. It has helped both myself and co-workers in the creation, calibration, and analysis of water models. I recommend this book to beginners and "seasoned" modelers. I am looking forward to future editions of Haestad's handbooks for Sewer Modeling and other subjects.

Summary: Covers all bases
Review: After spending a little time with this book I can honestly say that I am impressed. When I ordered the book, I expected a textbook-type approach full of theory, but I was presently surpised to find a book filled with well thought out graphics and asides and a lot of practical info. This book is actually an entertaining read. It covers the topics you would expect and them some. In my opinion, this book should be on the shelf of every water distribution modeller.

Summary: Water Distribution Modeling Made Easy
Review: Excellent book for the beginner or seasoned veteran. Good source of background information on hydraulics as well as providing easy to understand methods for compiling and calibrating a hydraulic network model.
"Wouldn't start work on a water distribution system without it."
