Review: Water Distribution Modeling is an excellent example of System Distribution Modeling Theory and fundamental application. I have applied several modeling theory applications and strongly advise people in the design, mechanical professions to purchase this book. It has supported my efforts in fully understanding methods of application and approach in research and development, analysis, theory of our complex Water System Distribution.

Review: This is a great book for those getting started in water distribution system modeling. It not only provides the reader with information on how to set up and build a model, it provides good information on variables or potential problems in the system and how to deal with them in the model. There is a tremendous amount of information packed into this book that makes it an excellent reference guide for water system design in general.

Review: I use the Haestad WaterCad software on an almost daily basis. The "Water Distribution Modeling" reference book has been an invaluable tool for the modeling of different scenarios concerning water distribution modeling. The software itself provides an impressive presentation to our clients and the reference book totally enhances our ability to model the types of situations that our clients ask about. I would highly recommend any water distribution modeler to acquire this book and apply it to their own distribution models.

Review: What sets this book aside from other instructional water industry resources is the manner in which it is organized and the clarity of the information presented. It is written in a style that de-mistifies the task of understanding hydraulics and water distribution modeling problems. In addition, it supports presented theory with appropriate and easy-to-interpret figures and diagrams. I have shared the book with several colleagues within my organization whose experience with manageing and modeling our distribution system covers a broad range and they have all found genuine benefit in it. The book represents a great resource for those requiring basic hydraulic knowledge as well as those with extensive modeling experience.

Summary: Opening doors to Watercad modeling
Review: I have been using Cybernet and Watercad for about 5 years intermittently. There has always been some questions in my mind about how to exactly model wells and connections to existing systems. This book opened my eyes on how to approach the different modeling tecniques.

Fire flows were another fuzzy area for me. This book opend doors to help me make more efficient and useful models.

It is a book that needs to be read more than once, since there is so much information contained within the covers. I will use it as a much needed and appreciated reference in the future

Review: This new book is a great resource for all levels of hydraulic modelers. It compiles a large array of pertinent material. In the past to answer a modeling question, I would sometimes need to open several different textbooks or shuffle through notes. With this book, most of the answers are quick and convenient to locate. It is very valuable to have a book specifically oriented toward modeling applications, which can make it dramatically more useful than traditional hydraulic textbooks. The new "bible" for water distribution modeling.

Review: The bibliography alone is worth the price. It is very well organized for quick referencing, as well as reading cover to cover. And there is plenty of room in the margins for notes (assuming it's a personal copy and not belonging to a library!).
