Summary: WATER DISTRIBUTION MODELING
Review: This book is the most comprehensive book on water
distribution system modeling that I have read in
my 27 years of Engineering. The theory, illustrations
and problem solving sections are well layed out. It
is a welcome addition to my reference library.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: First comprehensive easy-to-use modelling book for water sys
Review: As an environmental and water engineering firm we found this book as most comprehensive from theory level to very detailed practice level of water distribution modelling.

The information is well organized in amanner that does not compell to Haestad modells but to any computerized models of water distribution system (such as EPAnet and others).

The book also gives theoretical background that is suitable to people who are not qulified in fluid engineering in order to understand the systems and their modelling.

Summary: A Must For Your Modeling Library
Review: An excellent resource on hydraulic modeling and water distribution systems in general. It is the first resource I turn to when I have modeling questions. Definetly a must for your engineering library.

Summary: The Definative Reference For Water System Modeling
Review: "Water System Modeling" is just what you might expect from Haestad Methods. It is well written, authoritative, and easy to read and use. The book is a virtual encyclopedia on water modeling covering every phase of the process, and providing helpful hints along the way concerning problems that may arise in the implementation of theory to the real world. I would recommend the book to anyone who plans to do water system modeling.

Summary: The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread
Review: This book is the Bible for Water Ditribution Modeling. It is a must have for anybody that deals with a Water distribution system. It applies real world thought and process to computer modeling, it bridges a GAP that has been needed for years. This book is written for people that have been to college and for people that have years of field experience. It is for this reason that I give this book 5 Stars.

Summary: Haestad's Water Distribution Modeling.
Review: After receiving the Water Distribution Modeling workbook and accompanying CD I was able to learn and grasp the concepts of water system modeling and the possibilities it can perform. As a water system operator I discovered the flow dynamics within my system and have learned extremely valuable lessons on methods to control and capitalize on these characteristics. This program will enable me to prepare fire flow reports and supply capabilities for new developments and to determine when system supply and storage expansion will be necessary. It is an invaluable tool in my hands for future planning goals. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

Summary: An Absolute Must
Review: This book is a must for all water distribution modelers, it gives a good review of the fundamental concepts and provides a common sense approach to understanding the essential of water distribution modeling.
Purchasing this book is money well spent; it will act as a continued source of reference.

Summary: Soup to nuts
Review: I haven't read the book from cover to cover but have used it as an application tool for WaterCadd and for general reference in researching certain hydraulic applications, such as the advantages and disadvantages of pumped storage which I need for public testimony for a water tank height variance application. As my title suggests it contains a wide array of applications support information for modelers and operations application alike. The book is clearly for the advanced reader with prerequisitate hydraulic engineering experience. Someone else in our department used it as a study guide for the professional engineer's examination. The CD included is also great refernce. Overall we're very happy with it and it is prominently displayed and often used in our technical library.
