Summary: Big Dummy;s guide
Review: As a non-engineer type I am often puzzled during conversations with our in house engineers, especially when they site formulas and or rules with somebodies name attached. The text in Water Distribution Modeling starts very basically and progresses at a rate that is confortable for me to absorb and I am continuing to learn by referring to it.I am particularly interested in the explanation of componets i.e. pumps, controls, switches, and there relationship to the complete system. It is a great resource within itself and a good reference

Summary: A Must Have
Review: This book is a practical tool for engineers and modelers that goes beyond the basic 'typing data' into a computer program and offers straight forward answers to basic questions related to both modeling and to distribution systems. The practicing engineer or student can utilize this book. The hydraulics and modeling problems give students and pro's the opportunity to apply the material covered in each chapter of the book. The CD-ROM in the back of the book (an added bonus) contains a version of WaterCAD which can be used to solve many of the problems. If you're in the water distribution modeling business, this book is a MUST have.
