Summary: Success is no Secret -- it's Just Good Service!
Review: Don't let Jay Abraham's title fool you. It may sound like just another "me generation" appeal to greed, but actually what Mr. Abraham stresses throughout this helpful marketing book is that you must earn your rewards through serving others. What you have to sell (whether a product, an idea, or a service) must fill a genuine human need. You will earn the loyalty of clients only if you sincerely care about satisfying their needs.

His preference for the term "client" rather than "customer" sets the tone. Customers are people who buy from you. But clients are those for whom you provide some guidance or who are under your protection. Think of yourself as serving your clients, he says, helping them make the decision that will be most satisfactory to them, so that they will come back again.

Much of Jay Abraham's advice has the ring of the tried-and-true, those fundamentals of marketing that have applied to human transactions from the beginnings of barter and trade. As always, you must offer quality and value, deal honestly, and back up the claims you make for your product. But many of Abraham's ideas are imaginative, and he encourages imagination in promoting your company and products. He cautions against departing too radically from the promotional strategies that have worked well, yet he also sees a need for original and fresh approaches.

E-commerce, says Abraham, follows basic marketing principles within a new medium. He discusses the unique advantages of Internet marketing, showing respect and familiarity with the milieu of Cyberspace, while suggesting sensible precautions to avoid wasting your time and money. This section alone is worth the price of the book.

Summary: Practical Procedure Makes Dreams Real
Review: I found this book to be particularly helpful in fleshing out a business concept I have been developing. Through the careful examination of business conditions that the book encourages, the book gives the reader-user a sense of satisfaction when one completes the process. The book is a useful and practical example of the clear and effective thought process it suggests. And the clear vision of that thought process allows the reader to maintain the reader's own clear focus through to the reader's own effective action. That is why it is easy to recommend this book to anyone who wants to take an idea and make it real.

Summary: If You Are in Business, You Could Use This Book
Review: Jay Abraham has had a 25 year career in marketing. You can't be in a field that long and not know what is going on and how to be successful. In this book, Abraham shares all of what he has learned. Reading this book offers a golden opportunity to take advantage of an expert's advice.

His book is full of ideas and information about how you can be more successful in your business. He gives examples of big businesses that increased their profit margins and how they did it, and how you can do the same thing and get the same results as the big boys.

If you have a small business, however, or are just building your business, you can put Abraham's ideas and methods to work starting today. None of the advice is "Pie-in-the-sky" or difficult. The ideas are proven winners.

Abraham's approach is consumer oriented--his theory is if you have happy customers, you will have more business. This shouldn't be anything new or suprising, but in today's rough and tumble busines world, it seems the customer is the last person many businesses think of, yet there is where your profits are.

Each chapter ends with an "Action Steps" segment. These are assignments for you to do, and taking the time to do them will be worthwhile. The book is easy to understand; it comes through with what it promises and suggests ways you can go over what ou already have in assests and opportunities and make more of what you've got.

Summary: One of the Best Books on Creative Marketing
Review: Jay L. Abraham is one of the country's leading marketing experts. He shares his creative thinking enabling you to greatly increase your business. We used his entrepreneurial thinking to dramatically increase our Internet business. He was right on target. A must read for all entrepreneurs and I've read most the books in the field of marketing and creativity. In fact, we still publish one of the original books in the field BRAINSTORMING by Charles Clark.

Summary: Required reading for every business person on earth
Review: Jay Abraham has put more money making knowledge into this book than any other I have ever read. His philosophy of putting others first before yourself are so simple yet so rarely practiced in the business world. The concept of risk reversal and the strategy of preeminence is powerful and has changed my way of thinking. I have a different attitude after reading this book about the value I can bring to people through my business. Don't even think about not reading this book and applying the principles if you want to expand your business.
