Review: I bought it just for the featured GIS, SCADA and transient chapters and they are awesome. As a native spanish speaker I find it extremely well written in a very understandable english.I will use it for sure to teach my courses in Buenos Aires.

Summary: water distribution modeling, Haestad
Review: I highly recommend this book. I found it to be very useful. It is great to have all the information that I need in one place. The chapters on Integrating GIS and Hydraulic Modeling; and, SCADA are very informative and timely. Plus you get the added bonus of a lot of New Yorker Magazine Cartoons. I have been a user of Haestad Products now for less than a year, yet Haestad has had a huge impact on how I do engineering. Their software, discussion groups and publications are all tops. I can't recommend this book and everthing else that Haestad does enough.

Summary: A good thorough book you should buy
Review: It's a comprehensive resource for practicing engineers as well as students. This book covers a broad array of topics in a detailed and useful way--this book won't sit idle on your shelf. The book is well put together and the cartoons are a nice touch.

Summary: A Masterpiece
Review: This is definitely a must-have for any civil engineer involved in hydraulics, especially water modelers. I had been surprised by the quality of the previous Water Distribution Modeling book, but the Advanced edition succeeded my expectations. Its writing is very understandable and it is full of creative illustrations. The chapter about Geographic Information Systems is very well written, and after realizing who were involved in its review (ESRI's staff), I don't wonder about its content anymore. Highly recommended.

Review: I just got this book. I really liked the chapter on scada, it had tons of current information. It was a really comprehensive. It's nice to see new info in the marketplace. Rest of the book is good to!

Review: This book is extremely thorough in its coverage of all things concerning water distribution modeling. Although this book is a little intimidating in size, the material is easy to digest and quite enjoyable. The breadth of the material is astounding. This book takes you from the very fundamentals of water distribution modeling to advanced topics such as GIS and Transients. This is a very well put together book that is well worth the cost. It is going remain on my bookshelf for a very long time.
